Cleaning up my office, before the moving. This is from 1996. We are still busy with the same problem after 30 years. And apparently trying with the same approach. Anyway, that is why it is important to read the "old" literature. Do not reinvent the wheel :)
Parallel physics simulation is a key component to further develop robot autonomy in dynamic environments. Still ample space for improving the accuracy in contact forces and velocities. Exciting times.
This @ieeetro Special Collection on Impact-Aware Robotics was a great fun to organize! There is still a lot of things to do to get robots at the level of dexterity of human beings but, hey, we are getting there!

Last week I have I have attended the talk of @FabAroundEU, CEO of @AxeleraAI, at the @TUeindhoven , organized by the student association Kickoff EHV. Honest and inspiring. One remark that I liked: Everybody has great ideas, the challenge it is to make them happen! #AI #Robotics
There was also a great presentation by the @serpentine_ai, showcasing some of interesting AI projects TU/e students are busy with!
When people say locomotion is solved, they mean this is possible. Truly remarkable and beyond natural (animals have no wheels)
