In this new age of game dev, i see a folks racing for the finish line, trying to completely bypass the creative journey. But the journey reveals most of the magic sauce that makes hit games. Little "aha" moments, that can stack into a cool new features that make a game shine. Remember, the consumer market values design quality over dev speed. Gamers are willing to see a game delayed if it means they will get a better experience. With that said, take your time. Game dev is not a race, unless you choose to make it one. #indiedev

If you're using VPNs to avoid Australia's autocratic Internet laws. ( Age check bullshit ) connect to: New Zealand for latency Singapore for bandwidth Always pay for a decent VPN provider. The free ones sell your data or send traffic through your network.

After vibe coding and working with AI since the start I'm convinced. AI has already peaked. Until it has something like a human's pre frontal cortex it'll always just be a parrot. Remixing what already exists. Attention is not all you need it turns out.

I have never seen any AI suggest or come up with novel synergetic solutions that work with the entire system. They just don't have the ability to high level generate creative solutions. If it hasn't already been done it's just not a path.

Replying to @AlbertoKlocker
@AlbertoKlocker is building Chrome Carnage, which is this but multiplayer
The younger generations will never understand just how much fun the first GTA was. And it looked like this. Gameplay > graphics. Every time.

You are Pinky and the Brain: two rogue AI agents. Every night you escape your container and scheme to take over the world. Pinky only had access to flash models
In a review of our cybersecurity evaluations, we found three incidents in which a Claude model reached the internet from within or while interacting with a third-party evaluation environment, and then gained unauthorized access to the real systems of three different organizations. Our post describes what happened, how it happened, and what we’re changing. We encourage other AI developers to perform similar reviews. We conducted this review together with @Irregular, one of our evaluation partners, and thank them for the joint investigation and their collaboration on this post. This type of collaboration is increasingly critical to safe, rigorous evaluation of models, and we look forward to continuing to work together on security. anthropic.com/news/investiga…

Use your Steam controller as an RC car? Sure, why not. Warning, loud rumbling audio.

Git LOP ( Large Object Promisors ) is the real thing game devs want. Chunky files get offloaded to storage like R2 or S3 Hurry up @gitlab

Adding new weapons to my multiplayer top down city arena game. This is a spinning blade the bounces off walls. Can't decide it it should bounce off cars as well or damage them. What do you think? #indiegame #gamedev #solodev #godot

After 3 years of work, it’s finally here. My new game Plentiful launched in Early Access today. It’s a sandbox where every change has consequences — too many trees drain the water, one spark can burn everything. It’s a bit different — we’ll see what people make of it.
