As the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal is launched today beware of the ‘Poppy Nazis’. These traitorous pro-Nazi turds slither among us under false colours. They are pissing on the graves of the Allied war dead and monuments. #NeverAgain #PoppyAppeal

Imagine being 14 and having to publicly deal with this shit. Absolutely disgusting. An insight into what some people have to put up with every day.

Oh look say @STVNews 'Rosebank crude will go to Dutch refinery as no suitable refinery capacity in Yow Kay.' No mention that country whose oil is being siphoned now has no refinery. Grangemouth was sabotaged (passive industrial) by UK Gov in cahoots with Ratcliffe's @PetroineosGM

I’ve supported Arsenal for over 30 years. I’m a season ticket holder and we’re successful. Yet I’ve never felt more disconnected from the club. I’ve written about why, and what I miss about the game I fell in love with. taproomnetwork.com/2026/10/1…

100% This 👇 it doesnt define our club but it does tarnish it
Some grim songs coming out of the Hearts support today. I was there, it was excruciating and humiliating. A small, small section of our support as a whole but vocal and well represented today. Proud to support the club I’ve always loved but get that stuff out. It’s awful.

Can we perhaps stop calling these racist parties "Reform" or "Restore Britain" and call them for what they are. National Front and the BNP. Start making life difficult for racists.

It’s Britain, it’s 2026, and a taxi company in the North-East has had to put out a message telling customers to stop calling up and saying things like, ‘Don’t send me a p*ki.’ It’s disgusting, but we know exactly what is driving this behaviour, if you pardon the pun.

If Putin stops fighting, the war ends. If Zelensky stops fighting then his country will be occupied, leaders murdered, language banned, businesses stolen, children kidnapped. That's what happens in Russian-occupied Ukraine.

So who's bright idea was it to shut the Calder Junction to the M8 when there was a game on at Tynecastle? Utter incompetence again. @BEAR_Scotland @StephenFlynnSNP

I've watched BBC Breakfast and BBC News this morning and seen just a handful of mentions of the latest scandal involving Reform UK, following ITV News's investigation into racist, sexist and threatening remarks by party representatives. Compare that with the seemingly endless, rolling coverage Nigel Farage receives whenever he makes an announcement. The anticipation beforehand, the live coverage during, the analysis afterwards, followed by endless discussion of what it might all mean. Yet when serious questions arise about the conduct of Reform UK representatives, where is that same intensity of scrutiny? I'm disappointed by the BBC's apparent lack of urgency and prominence in covering this story. The BBC's Royal Charter commits it to providing impartial news and information that helps people understand and engage with the world around them. That responsibility surely extends beyond amplifying political announcements to rigorously scrutinising those seeking or holding public office. Impartiality doesn't mean giving every story equal airtime, but it should mean applying consistent editorial standards, regardless of the party involved. The public deserves journalism that holds political power to account, not simply coverage that gives politicians a platform.
