Beautiful Staffordshire Oak from a sustainably managed forest. These staves will be drying out for another wee while before being made into casks for our spirit.

We ask a lot of our casks, and much like family members, they sometimes need a little TLC. That’s where local @jensenscooperage steps in, repairing and resizing where needed, ensuring our casks continue their all-important job of spirit maturation. – at York, England

Collected a few casks from the Coopers today. These front two are truly amazing and will create two very unique whiskies over the next few years. 🥃🌾

It's not always about the destination, & the last few years have been a bumpy ride, but we are getting there 🌾
I mean... this picture looks seriously like it was taken in a distillery 💥

Some precious cargo has arrived at the distillery! We collected these delightful casks from nearby Jensen's Cooperage. Who knew you could fit 5x 110 litre casks in a Zafira...

Road trip today to collect more barrels. We love the passion these guys have for their craft. We could get them delivered, but that's way less fun 😊 looking forward to sharing more mischief with you. #StaffordshireOak #ExBourbon #Whiskeytobe #SpiritofBirmingham #Distillery

Brilliant @AlastairSimms @CoopersCompany
#Throwback - A cooper mending a barrel at Belhaven Brewery, circa 1960s - wooden barrels required continual maintenance. The cooper was skilled in repairing & fabricating the company's stock, working in conjunction with a blacksmith who supplied the metal parts - John Gray Centre

Since our visit to The Flying Horse in Rochdale @FlyerRochdale on Saturday they have bought their own wooden barrels. Anyway hope to see you all at the Oldham beer festival on the 2nd April
