Watch Landmine Publisher Jeff Landfield testify at a recent Anchorage Assembly meeting about how the Anchorage Police Department got a Landmine video critical of Chief Sean Case removed from Facebook by filing a bogus copyright strike.
APD refused to respond to the Landmine until after a story was published about what they did. The video was ultimately restored but APD has still not answered why they believe the video - which included footage from an Assembly meeting and APD bodycam footage - violated copyright and if Chief Case directed or approved the strike.
Instead of apologizing, the LaFrance administration made excuses. The Landmine will always fight to protect the First Amendment, especially when attacked by the government.

And the final update to this saga:
I was just at his sentencing. The prosecution had asked for 15 months in prison because of the randomness and aggression in his assault on me and his extremely long history of violent crime (43 prior convictions).
The defense asked for no time because he is black and jail made him sad (yes really).
The judge decided on a “middle ground” sentence of 9 days in jail, of which he will serve 6 days.

They have cert mills that they run people through where the objective is just to pass, where they allow them to cheat on supposedly proctored certification exams. I've learned this the hard way over the years working in IT adjacent sectors.
