In severe danger of missing my flight from Oslo to Heathrow thanks to my substandard U.K. passport. Europeans are gliding through. Thank you Brexiters, you utter load of stupid, selfish, ignorant bastards.

In a low-car city, human traffic flourishes in the gigantic gap left by the motor traffic; enlivening streets with activities all but extinct elsewhere. This paradox fascinates and invigorates us: rarely can you experience urban places so serene, yet simultaneously full of life.

Culture warriors, populist politicians, and clickbait media, wield the term “cyclist” like a weapon to denigrate, dehumanize, and marginalize decent, regular people. All based on nothing more than the fact that they sometimes ride a bike. It’s pretty disgusting.

Oh, you're a cyclist. All of a sudden it makes sense!

I just signed the Time for Change petition calling on @UKGOV to improve the law and make England and Wales a hunting free zone. Will you sign too? you.38degrees.org.uk/petitio… via @38degrees

Car Journeys Up In 2023 With Bus And Bicycle Journeys Down, Reports U.K. Department For Transport forbes.com/sites/carltonreid… Why is road congestion so bad? No, it’s not slow cyclists—or even impossibly-fast 52mph ones—it’s all of the cars, silly.

Reason number 107987654190 why cyclists don't use cycle lanes @YPLAC

When is the Tory government enacting a law against dangerous jogging? Ian Duncan-Smith already on the case, I assume.

There won't be a peep out of the anti-cycling, mouth-frothing gammons over this.
A driver whose "ridiculous speed" resulted in his passenger suffering life-changing injuries has been spared jail after a judge remarked it was "horrendous" for him to miss the birth of his child. Full story 👇 buff.ly/3K9PTVM

Is it even possible, aerodynamically, for someone to reach 52mph on a pedal cycle? Even if they had the gearing for it, and a very steep hill? This is fucking atrocious journalism with absolutely no research done beforehand that's clearly designed to stir up hatred of cyclists.
Telegraph journalists told "check your research" after front page claims cyclists hit 52mph chasing London Strava segments... despite that being faster than Olympic track cyclists road.cc/308431

The Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, etc are turning Britain's roads into death traps with the diet of lies and hate directed at cyclists. There should be a law banning blatant lies & hate speech by newspapers. Their behaviour is like someone in a crowded theatre shouting 'FIRE'.

You may have heard @Chris_Boardman talk about road fatalities today, contrasting the tiny issue of cycle collisions with the massive problem of motor vehicles. He compared cycles with deaths caused by cows & lightning, so with some research here's a chart. @WeAreCyclingUK

So sad to be hearing negative stories today about #cycling & #cyclists. I don't understand how people can be so against a healthy leisure activity. There are over 35 million motor vehicles on the roads! Facts show that over 9 million jump red lights. Yet bikes are the problem?
