Every time a risky shortcut doesn’t result in harm, your brain quietly recalculates the odds of it being safe - even though the actual danger never changed at all. That recalibration feels like confidence and experience. It’s actually just a string of near misses that happened to break your way. Nothing about the task got safer. Your perception of it did.

Morning my thinkers Stopped doing traditional safety inspections and reports for some clients…. now I do safety conversations. Same sites. Same hazards. Completely different outcomes. Better levels of engagement overall. Today is one of those days.
