When Trump says the Ukraine does not want to end the war, what he is really saying is that Ukraine does not want to surrender to a deal that he has worked out with Putin which would see the Ukrainians hand over more of their land and people.
Speaking the truth is important.

“More daylight”? No, permanent Daylight Saving Time means MORE DARKNESS, every morning, all winter. Stop the Sunshine Protection Act, restore permanent Standard Time instead!

The downside of opposing the Trumpist/Putinist axis of evil is that you have to counter so much stupid, ignorant, evil stuff every day.
The upside is that you don't have to defend stupid, ignorant, evil stuff every day, like the Trumpists/Putinists do.

Trump has given Putin concession after concession -- ending aid to Ukraine, keeping Ukraine out of NATO, celebrating Putin with a red carpet summit, dissing Zelenskyy, wavering sanctions, disrupting intelligence sharing with Ukraine -- and Putin has never changed his position on continuing the war. Not one inch.
Well, I see the Russian bots are back in full force. If Zelensky could take out a couple more of Putin's data centers that would be nice.

President Zelensky refusing to surrender 20% of his country to Russia is not an “obstacle.”
Russia demanding 20% of Ukraine is.
You’re welcome. And #SlavaUkraïni

I will be speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team this week to discuss Starshield, sanctions, and other matters pertaining to the defense of our strong ally, Ukraine. I will be assuring President Zelenskyy that anyone who attempts to limit the use of Starshield for Ukraine will be fully investigated and will be held fully accountable, to include public congressional oversight hearings, and immediate harsh and punitive budget cuts to any responsible agency or agency head.
Congress will unequivocally reaffirm that Ukraine is an indispensable ally to the United States, that Russia is a self-declared enemy of the United States, and that the United States will 100% support and defend the people of Ukraine in their fight for their own freedom against this brutal, illegal, and unprovoked Russian invasion.
The United States must provide any and all defensive equipment that Ukraine needs to defend itself. The United States must not import a single drop of Russian oil. Sanctions against the Russian regime must be harsher and stronger than they’ve ever been before. Each and every one of these items will be brought to the House Floor—and each and every one of these items will pass on the House Floor by an overwhelming margin.
This is, after all, what Ronald Reagan would do. And this is what we will do now. Ukraine can, and will, defeat Russia. #PeaceThroughStrength
This is as stupid as saying the United States should have remained neutral when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.

Somehow, Trump has got it in his head switching to the Invader Putin's side will help him in the mid-terms. I REALLY don't think he read the voting public right on this one.

I find it genuinely unbelievable that so many people don't think Russia is an enemy of America. Just moronic shit.
The Russians treat us as an enemy. They've been acting against our interests & invading their sovereign neighbors (yes, that's bad for America) for decades now.

No one from Trump on down will take the "credit" for the throttling of Star Shield to Ukraine. Why? It's obvious. It's because they know it's a Judas Iscariot move that will blot their historical copy book for eternity.
When Vance complains about Republicans from 40 years ago I was thinking it's just the small government economic policies that he dislikes, but his foreign policy beliefs and overall worldview are the opposite of Reagan's as well.

Trump: "I do not want to lose, as your representative, $90 billion for the privilege of allowing Canada to have a healthcare system and other things that they shouldn't be having. They spend our money very unwisely."

Mexico doesn't pay our tariffs.
Trump: Mexico did pay for the wall… because I charged them tariffs
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
US importers, not Mexico, pay tariffs on goods from Mexico. The border wall was funded by US federal appropriations, with Mexico contributing nothing.
