CNN: “Early today, CNN journalists were denied access to the White House grounds. CNN’s mission to report on the U.S. government will continue regardless of any attempts to restrict physical access to the White House and other government buildings, or any other attempts to impede our journalism. We have a right under the U.S. Constitution to do our reporting without hindrance or interference from the government and this ban is an illegal assault on this fundamental right.” cnn.com/2026/09/19/media/tru…

Jeff German spent four decades exposing crime and corruption in Las Vegas. In 2022, he was murdered by a public official whose misconduct he had uncovered. His story is a powerful reminder of the risks journalists face. Read about his legacy: fallenjournalists.org/story/…

Air conditioning is an essential service (literally) for any rental in Nevada. By law, landlords have 48 hours after receiving written notice from residents to fix—or use their best efforts to fix—problems with essential services.

While everyone agrees Glen Canyon Dam’s “river outlet works” shouldn’t be relied on to deliver water to 25 million people, water managers might not have a choice unless the federal government gets real about funding engineering solutions @reviewjournal reviewjournal.com/news/envir…

The real crazy thing is that this post violates the neutrality policy it references. Plus an institution that refused to admit Black people for over 100 years had as its founding purpose discrimination.
.@EDSecMcMahon is correct. DEI is discriminatory by design, antithetical to the purpose of a university, and incompatible with the pursuit of truth. The University of Florida has already acted on that conviction. In December 2025, our Board of Trustees adopted institutional neutrality and embedded an anti-DEI mandate within the presidential contract itself, ensuring that no university funds, public or private, will underwrite DEI at this institution. Dr. Stuart Bell stands with Secretary McMahon, the Board, and the people of Florida on this. He is ready to lead UF forward as a university defined by merit, rigor, and the pursuit of truth.

As an alum I’m appalled by this statement. DEI means Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. All good things. All things that belong in the academy. I’m embarrassed by what is being done to an outstanding university by right wing extremists in the state of Florida.

We’ve absolutely jumped the shark. Disappointing, to say the least.

If this solar farm went through as proposed, it could come within a mile of Ash Meadows. Often described as the Galapagos of the Mojave Desert, the refuge is home to crystal blue pools with tiny fish found nowhere else in the world. Story @reviewjournal: reviewjournal.com/news/envir…
