After David Eby's desperate, callous attempt to use the soldiers killed over the weekend to attack his political opponents, Eby is now in damage control mode. Breaking news Global BC's Legislature Bureau Chief Keith Baldrey: BALDREY: David Eby just phoned me a few minutes ago, Julie, to clarify his comments. He said he had no intention to use the death of the soldiers in a political fashion. That was not what he meant to talk about today. But he's going to be clarifying his remarks at a campaign stop later today in the Okanagan. So obviously an issue that is suddenly blown up in the campaign. And Eby is going to clarify his remarks later today.

The Conservative Party of BC stands for a strong and united Canada. Always. David Eby questioning my patriotism is shameful. Invoking soldiers we lost this weekend in an attempt to save his own job is beyond the pale. This is a desperate distraction from his record. While David Eby once again tries to divide British Columbians, we are focussed on uniting to get BC back on track.

Rumors, innuendo, fabrications, straight up lies. It's ALL you, & the rest of your #NDP hacks, have to offer British Columbians after creating massive debt, a failing healthcare system, driving forestry into the ground, & making our lives less affordable. You're done after Oct 24th #bcpoli #ImWithLorne
Rob Shaw, you’re barely covering any of the EXTREMELY bad stuff coming out of the BC Conservatives @BCConservCaucus this election. And, I heard a rumour you’ve been dangled a government job if they win. Care to comment? @RobShaw_BC @katy_merrifield

6 days to #bclexn and @Dave_Eby is getting same Qs about why he called snap election 2 yrs early, and why he keeps pretending had a 1-seat majority when it was 3. "This election is about so much more than election timing," he says, acknowledging people are frustrated with it.

A REAL fiscal plan from a REAL leader #bcpoli. #ImWithLorne
A statement by ICBA Chief Economist Jock Finlayson on the 2026 Conservative Party of B.C. platform and costing: "The costed Conservative platform looks reasonable. It is a balanced plan, recognizing that there is much that affects the B.C. economy which is beyond the government’s control.     "The Conservatives intend to take a gradualist approach to deficit reduction, which makes sense given the depth of the fiscal hole Premier Eby has dug and the fragile state of the economy. An important element of fiscal strategy under a new government will be kick-starting the private sector, which has been languishing over the past several years while the broad public sector has continued to expand. The private sector accounts for at least three quarters of all economic activity – including employment – in British Columbia; it also provides the exports and drives the innovation on which living standards partly depend. Under the NDP, the priority has been increasing the size and reach of the public sector, even as large parts of the business community have been struggling or in outright decline.    "A healthier business climate and a stronger private sector economy will help to address B.C.’s difficult fiscal situation by bolstering economic growth and expanding the tax base."

Ah, by observing the BC NDP press releases, we are moving from ‘throw everything at the wall to see what sticks’ to ‘try to scare loose or green voters that conservatives are evil incarnate’. I guess when your record doesn’t allow you to run on much, this is all you got left.

David Eby has failed BC families. Nine years. More than 40 tax hikes. Food prices are up almost 30%. Incomes have gone nowhere. In a single month, kids made 68,053 visits to BC food banks. Hockey, swimming, music and camp are out of reach for too many families. Meanwhile, Eby is busy with reckless spending, secret deals and putting himself first. BC families can't afford David Eby. It's time for serious leadership for serious times.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah! #ImWithLorne
People are already voting, and Lorne Doerkson still won’t show you his plan. Here's why: His promises blow a $5 billion hole in the budget. His own MLA says health care will take “the brunt” of the cuts. He’s hoping you don’t find out until after you vote.

I was an MLA with Lorne in 2017 and he became caucus chair. Theres no doubt in his thoughtfulness and wisdom. He’s here at the right time and he has my full support and endorsement as BC needs badly needed repairs

This is shameful! Watch this Surrey South BC NDP canvasser take Conservative literature from someone’s door, only to replace it with her own. I was just sent this. This should be denounced, no matter which side it comes from.

So all of the things you should have done, you're now announcing will be done. EXCEPT until after the #bcpoli elxn, when they'll be shelved again #ImWithLorne
BC NDP candidate Jodie Wickens says a re-elected BC NDP government will build a new standalone middle school on Burke Mountain in Coquitlam: “I am pleased to announce that a BC NDP government is committed to build a stand-alone middle school, in collaboration with School District 43.”

For years, I've watched the #bcndp repeatedly pick a fight with families who have children with #autism. It never made sense, seemed purely ideological. Today, @LDoerkson says that fight will end. Vote @Conservative_BC #bcpoli

This is what HOPE looks like. 500+ construction workers, showing up to hear @LDoerkson talk about restoring confidence in home building, and around their kitchen tables. The lost decade can come to an end. Vote.

The basis of our prosperity begins with a strong private sector economy. Since 2019, B.C. private sector jobs grew 3.3%. Public sector jobs grew 46.4%. Source: Business Council of BC @BCBCLaura @BizCouncilBC #bcpoli #cdnpoli
