NFL fined 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk $14,926 for engaging in an offensive demonstration Sunday vs. Miami. “Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste,” the NFL wrote in its fine letter. Then came standardized protocols, commercial lightning detection, and the 30-minute rule.

The rules are scientifically sound. I am all for adjustment to the rules as long as we have science and data to support changes. A coach’s desire to do so doesn’t meet the cut. So I think we have a lot of work to do in the research side to make changes. Enforcement is key.

If you steal a 3 dollar sandwich, you get arrested.
But if you steal every bit of art, writing and music on earth, you get declared “too big to fail” and are allowed to write the laws now
