This must be rage bait… Solar can do virtually everything you mentioned.
My solar is about 2.5 million but it powers 2 fridges, an AC, and every electrical appliance in the house. It may not carry all at the same time, but over time I have learnt how to manage my power by getting inverter-friendly electrical appliances. I have never used a generator since 2023.
Wait o, all of una wey dey shout solar, na solar una dey use pump water? Una dey use solar power fridge, freezer, and AC at the same time? I am asking this cus these are the things I use my gen for basically.
Personally, I will advice you buy a good generator with high power and add a reasonable solar on the side. Solar runs the daily minor electrical needs and the generator runs the big loads when it is needed. Especially when you stay in an area with poor electricity supply.
We need to have an honest conversation about solar expectations in Nigeria. Most times, any setup is actually okay, people just don't enjoy them because they expect a budget setup to perform like a mini power station.
It’s not that the system won't carry them; it's about capacity and duration. A 5kWh battery under heavy load will drain way faster than a 15kWh system. Don’t expect magic just because it's inverter power.
