Trump at his rallies is mocking the name Muhammed and Muslims, saying they're evil terrorists, they don't belong here, they should be deported. No one in the media and political class cares. But if he said Jews are evil parasites who don't belong in the US, mocked names like Cohen, and said they should be deported, his life would be over in an instant, and everyone knows it. He would be 25thed/impeached so fast and replaced with good slave JD Vance it'll make your head spin. And he knows it too.
the percentage of the Muslim and Jewish population in the US is about the same, between 1.1 and 2%, yet open and explicit racist hatred is only expressed and normalized by the media and political class against Muslims. You can mock their names, you can say they're all terrorist barbarians, you can say they should be deported, they don't belong here, they're an alien cancer, you can raid their homes as was done with Ilhan Omar, you can arrest them, you can do whatever you want to them, and still be elected a member of the House, the Senate, and President. Contrary to popular belief, most Muslims are not on the left. The majority of Muslims strongly disagree with many left issues - especially social an economic issues.
Most Muslims are naturally conservative- fiscally and socially. The GOP could have had a couple million voters and had charismatic Muslim candidates like Abdul al Sayed and Mamdani but on the right instead of the left. But they don’t because the party made it clear Muslims were not welcome. So the many conservative Muslims are much less active with the GOP and hold their nose while quietly supporting republicans or they support independents, libertarians, the Green Party or they just stay home.

Nobody asks Christians to apologize for every criminal who happens to be Christian. Nobody asks atheists to apologize for every dictator who happens to be an atheist. But when a Muslim commits a crime, suddenly every Muslim is expected to apologize for it.
