Akron Goodyear Half Marathon & 10k Race is SAT., AUG. 8TH. There will be road closures in the E. Akron/Ellet area btwn 5 am & 11 am. Plan to use an alternate route if you need to get through the area during this time. Vehicles parked on the roadway during the event will be towed.
Diagonal Rd. between Superior Ave. and LaBelle Ave. will be CLOSED tomorrow morning, Tues., July 21st, due to a water main break. Hardesty Blvd., Courtland Ave., & the reverse can be used as an alternate route. The road is expected to be reopened by the end of the day.
On Tues., July 21st, S. Main St. between State St. and E. Buchtel Ave. will be CLOSED for the Northeast Regional Firefighter Challenge Classic. This stretch of road is expected to be reopened to traffic on Sunday, July 26th.
The traffic lights at the intersection of Arlington St. and Waterloo Road are flashing red while a new traffic light box is being installed. Some lanes are closed in the area. Drivers should use caution and consider an alternate route, if possible, to help avoid congestion.
