Ramit has been a dimwit progressive for quite a long time, but I don't think I've seen him catalog every single one of his idiotic policy takes at once like this before.
Take note for the next time you see his opinions floating around the timeline, if you haven't already muted or blocked him.
Shouldn't surprise you. I'm educated, I want to pay higher taxes to help the poor & middle class, and I support universal healthcare, guaranteed voter rights, eliminating single-family zoning, ending the filibuster, ending ICE and prosecuting its leadership and officers for their illegal actions, no parking minimums, higher minimum wage, gun control, reducing the military budget, massively increasing immigration, ending qualified immunity, a national program to fight white extremism, justice for 1/6, allowing student loans to be discharged in bankruptcy, massively increased housing of all forms, even more expanded funding for IRS, universal childcare, expanded SCOTUS, ending private prisons, and removing housing subsidies including mortgage interest deductions
"You're gay."
"You're an incel."
"You must have a small dick."
No one's more committed to reinforcing toxic masculinity than someone who's run out of coherent thoughts while arguing with a man.
Replying to @ConnorElderJr @blahblahemilyy
Just say “I’m gay and like men”. It’s ok. It’s current year. You can be gay now.
I don't really have an issue in the abstract with:
1) Sydney Sweeney posing provocatively for an ad
2) Women wearing revealing clothing to the gym
I do have an issue with pretending that both of these aren't acts of sexualization. And at least with Sweeney, it's very clear that she's leaning into her image as a sex symbol and (to my knowledge) she's never really pretended otherwise.
Western society is in a strange place where female sexuality is celebrated, but no one is allowed to acknowledge the purpose of overt female sexuality: to invite the male gaze. This has to be obfuscated by layers of pretense and repackaged as "empowerment."
The extension of this logic is that we should do away with workplace dress codes, too. Women should be able to wear ridiculously low-cut tops and dress like "office sirens," and men should be able to walk around in tank tops and 5-inch shorts.
After all, if you find any of this distracting, that's 100% on you.
Bullying my LLM to fill my spiritual void.
10'a yakın bir sayı.
Also: if the people who spewed this kind of vitriol had the capacity to apply an ounce of logic here, they'd realize that a world in which there are fewer men than women would swing the balance of power toward *the men.*
This is genuinely one of the most evil things I've ever read. And yet—virtually no mainstream discourse, no handwringing, no thinkpieces about this sort of thing.
Many others have already made this point, but a major negative consequence of the internet age is the ability to easily find entire communities who share, and reinforce, your pathologies. Every time an insane post like this pops up on the timeline, one glance at the subreddit name explains everything.
I question the motives and moral integrity of people who watch a clip like this and *don't* become red-pilled.
I'm not circling this date on my calendar or anything, but I agree. Contemporary culture is debased and degraded by many things that I would rank higher than the public execution of a violent criminal.
Criminal punishment and execution have largely been sanitized to the point of abstraction, and I'm no longer convinced we are better off as a society for it.

Every three months or so, this extremely boring "Phoenix shouldn't exist!" discourse gets rehashed by twittercels to many tens of thousands of likes.
In the meantime, people's revealed preferences suggest otherwise.
Those who know Phoenix, no explanation is necessary. Those who don’t, no explanation will suffice. Hi @anagaming131, these photos might help. Come on down and visit and enjoy
They will show up in your suggestions, but I'm not sure there's any evidence you will show up in *their* suggestions.
I recently looked up the profile of a high school classmate I'd learned had passed away in a car accident last year. After I looked her up, her profile started showing up in my suggestions, alongside other people I wasn't friends with and had also looked up.
Obviously her profile didn't start appearing there because of anything she was doing—my suggestions were downstream of my Instagram activity.
FYI: if you search someone on instagram but don’t follow them instagram will show you in their friend suggestions. You will be outed as creeping.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Instagram suggested accounts are based on mutual connections, synced contacts & interactions. Searching for someone does not add you to their suggestions (a common myth). Your own searches can affect what appears in your suggestions.

As a window seat enthusiast, every single one of these posts is extremely effective engagement bait for me. I'll roll my eyes at the millionth "hot take: property taxes are unjust and we should get rid of them!" post on the timeline, and then instantly smash the like button on every single variant of "hot take: what happened to looking out the window??"
