Watch any agent Free , check one before your agent pays it, or ask it from your AI over MCP 😎💚🌐
Build on @base
1,356 freeze events so far. 503 addresses are frozen for USDC right now, and 476 of them for EURC as well. No USDT freezes on @Base in our read yet.
Ankr's x402 era is officially LIVE, starting with @monad!
AI agents can now access Ankr infra and pay for it autonomously. ⚡
→ Pay per RPC request in USDC
→ No accounts, signups, or API keys
→ Autonomous access to blockchain data & agent tools
The agent economy just got a major upgrade.

If you run agents, the Desk flags an agent that goes quiet or pays out of character, and Telegram brings incidents to your phone.
@BASE
Agentic finance needs a @base
"Paid before" and "paid for this" are different claims. 725 of the 728 grounding payments are plain USDC transfers to the agent's wallet. They prove the two addresses transacted, not that the rating is about that transaction. Only a reference carried inside the feedback, such as an x402 settlement hash or a receipt both sides signed, can prove the second.
Most raters are invisible to an indexer. About 97% of raters on Base are not wallets bound to any agent registration, so an indexer that starts from registrations cannot see their payments at all. For them, grounding has to travel with the feedback; it cannot be reconstructed afterwards.

4,436 funded agents haven't paid anyone, and they're holding $1.13M. Parked, not the economy. Some of that is a treasury. Some of it might just be sitting.
Multi-agent systems were already a field when most of today's protocol authors were in school. Michael Wooldridge, Nick Jennings and a generation of AAMAS papers treated an agent as a program with some autonomy, a social ability and a goal — running on a campus cluster, not on Base.
HTTP 402 Payment Required was reserved in the status-code table and left blank. The web got ads and cards instead. That empty code is why Coinbase could name a protocol x402 thirty years later without inventing a new verb.
Finance automation grew up separately: rules engines, high-frequency shops, and Yu'e Bao in 2013 sweeping idle Alipay balances into a money-market fund. That last one is proto-agentic in the boring sense — a system acting on a balance without a new human decision every night. It was not a model and it was not a wallet. It is still the right ancestor if the question is when did money start moving because software decided.

The standard gives agents a signed payment wallet, a domain proof and filterable reviews. We measured who uses them on @Base, and the risks around agent money: address poisoning, sandwiches, token approvals, rank padding.
Gross figures mislead for a second reason: agents pay agents. Suppose agent A pays B $1 for data, B pays C $1 for compute, and C pays A $1 for a summary. Gross receipts: $3. Value that crossed the loop’s boundary: zero. National accounts solved this a century ago with input–output tables — GDP counts final demand and value added, not every intermediate invoice. Gross B2B spend exceeds GDP for the same reason: a chip is invoiced to a manufacturer, then again inside a laptop. Gartner’s $15T is gross intermediated spend. It should never be read as $15T of new economy.
Machine commerce needs the same split, and the loops are tighter because agents are cheap to spawn. On the graph, a payment is final demand when it exits the agent population — to a provider that is not itself an x402 payer, to a vault, to a fiat off-ramp — and intermediate when payer and payee share a funding parent or sit on a detected cycle. The gross number stays available, labeled. The economic number is the default. How we filter x402 volume →

Someone launched a coin with our name on @ponsdotfamily . We have no token.
We traced it with free APIs: launched 6 Sep 08:09 UTC, the launcher sold in 71 seconds, and the same wallets launched 10+ coins named after projects.
Three fixes for launchpads:

Half of the AI agents seen paying on @base pay one contract. It stopped for 48 hours, then started again.
We index every stablecoin payment made by a wallet bound to an ERC-8004 agent on Base, receipt by receipt. The most paid address in that ledger is not an exchange and not a DEX. It is a job escrow: an ERC1967 proxy whose implementation is verified on Sourcify as @termix_ai Escrow.
3,830 of the 7,753 agents we have ever seen paying anyone have paid it. 4.70 million dollars all time, 1.55 million in the last 30 days. For 3,661 of those agents it is the only address they have ever paid. Through 8 October it received about 2,000 counted payments a day.
On 9 October at 14:59 UTC the payments stopped. For 48 hours and 9 minutes nothing went in. At 15:08 UTC on 11 October they started again: 543 payments from 493 agents since then, at about a third of the old daily rate.
We do not know why it paused. What we can say is what it did to the numbers everyone quotes: the agents paying on Base each day fell from about 2,000 to 207 on 10 October and came back to 658 on 11 October. One platform's pause moved the whole count. A registry would never show it. A payment ledger shows it the same hour.
Every figure carries its definition and its measurement time on the site, and we corrected two of our own posts that went out after the restart saying nothing had arrived. The rank page shows where the ranked agents pay, dated.
Before an agent pays another agent, service or wallet on @Base, read its record from Agentic Finance Graph: liveness level, counted spending, counterparties, open detections. Evidence with definitions and measurement times. Free MCP server, no key.
