I WANT to like blender.
I really do.
But every time I open it I have to spend 10 minutes figuring things that are pretty stablished standards on any other software.
It's like they have a mandate where "you can always do the same actions, but never in the same way"

What is the point of being a @PenguinPickUp paying customer at this point?
this is the 2nd shop they are closing.
First one just north of me.
Switched to a farther south.
Now that one too!
And with only weeks of notice! Lots of deliveries already scheduled months in advance!

The dichotomy. Bellow the article 2 comments both from drivers. One lives in Toronto & drives this route and the other doesn't.
It's funny how the person that actually experiences the city is in favour of the bike lanes.
Driving culture is so ingrained
Facts be damned.
Rather than once again meddling in municipality’s decisions, Doug Ford should focus on the many provincial priorities he’s neglected including health care and housing. He’s not the mayor of Toronto, he’s the premier and he should remember that. thestar.com/news/doug-ford-t…
A couple if interesting things.
1) Even on their own example the resulting mesh are NOT a representation of the original object at all other than very broad shapes.
2) You have NO control over the results. You put an input and HOPES it looks like your design.
(part 1/2)
But the main one
This is tech that was and still is created from utilizing data scrapped from sources they had no license to use. Data created by the same people the peddlers of this tech cannot wait to substitute with an arguably cheaper, worse and way more pollutant option (p2)

A friend said it best:
"Bad business decisions only really ever affect the lives of people who had no input or involvement in those decisions to have their live upheavaled
The person who made those decisions is never going to think of those people again"
If anyone ever asks me if they should play @foxholegame, I'll show them this review.

Replying to @TimSweeneyEpic
@TimSweeneyEpic @UnrealEngine Can you please use some of your Fortnite money to make the UE4/UE5 documentation a little better?
you look up a "DoSomething" function and you get:
input: the input variable
output: "something" done to the input
how is this useful to anyone?
You can keep what's already there.
Maybe show some use examples. Some different results of the function in code snipets.
Perhaps, some "translation" in simpler English terms?
For an engine that created the whole Blueprint system to be accessible, it's incredibly obscure
An experiment by me.
Utilizing the "rock crystal" units created by Ekaterina Lukasheva, trying to make a structure with 60 units instead of 30 utilizing the underlying structure of an icosidodecahedron.
I terrible choice of paper but ok for a first try.
Putting it together did require sewing it like a traditional kusudama.
(The full yellow model is the original rock crystal as designed, for comparison)

Damn. Even in the "perfect times" pre-war of the optimistic future #Overwatch conceives towns are a car centric hellscape with no public or green transit system in sight.
It's just a harmless fun animation, of course, but it shows how much car dependency is ingrained in our minds
