We invested YEARS, passion, and REAL MONEY into Pokémon UNITE. Don’t erase everything we’ve built! 💔
Keep the servers alive—or let the community run them!

Genuinely curious here.
✋ As someone who actually bought a few hundred dollars in microtransactions near launch -
Why isn’t this a $60 game on cartridge for Switch/Switch2 with local and online play?
If they don’t want the server upkeep, then make it local only.
Bizarre. 🤷♂️

This was the most avoidable End of Service I’ve ever seen. I’ve never seen a game intentionally get perpetually worse and expect players to stick around.
I really want to know what the heck happened.
Offline mode like Alchemy Stars is cool beans.

The community is not even remotely responsible for this, don't even try to push this onto us. Legendary spamming for releases over mons we asked for, License journey, horrible balancing, Chinese monetization, all this and more snowballed into the EOS
Congratulations guys, the day you were waiting for has finally come. #PokémonUNITE is shutting down because of this stupid community. No players, no content creators support to #SavePokemonUnite , including your favourite creators. And now, the game is ending because of you guys.

As a huge Pokemon fan who has spent countless hours, maybe even a thousand or so, playing this game, I must admit that it was incredibly enjoyable in its early days. However, it is extremely disheartening to witness its current state.
This situation should serve as an opportunity for a new team to step in, purchase the game from the developers to ensure its continued success. As a Pokémon x MOBA game, this concept simply has too much potential and should not be jeopardized by a greedy, lazy team of developers.
The game’s poor balancing, increasingly steep monetization tactics (including the removal of an in-game currency that was freely earned via gameplay, replaced by a “licensing program”), lack of community engagement, and overall lazy approach have all contributed to this decline.
Unfortunately, one constant throughout its existence has been the development team assigned to it.
From the start, the community of this game has had a love-hate relationship, which has unfortunately shifted towards mostly just a hate relationship in recent years.
I streamed countless hours of it, dedicating at least two to three hours a night during the first 30 days of its release while in college. It truly was one of the best seasons for my streaming community, as we formed many lasting online connections playing.
Initially, as a Pokémon fan who had only briefly experimented with MOBA games before this game’s release, I found this game to become one of my favorites. I would look forward to the end of my day so I could play it with my community.
