We’ve seen what we’re capable off when we don’t fear failure, and choose to not limit our potential. At 25, I bought my dream car, a bmw i8 for around $100,000. And before the age of 28, I had made millions of dollars. It seemed like I had everything in the world, but to me, I had nothing, because at 26 years old, I was left disabled due to an assault by family members, which got repeated multiple times over the span of almost 2 years. For a long time I couldn’t stand on my feet, or do any of the things we take for granted every single day. But what hurt the most, was seeing the look in my son’s face when I wasn’t able to lift him up from the floor and hold him. It made me realize how pointless all the “valuable” things I was chasing were, because I would have given it all away, in the blink of an eye, just to be able to hold him.
