Managing $1B in assets taught me something counterintuitive: The clients with $50M aren't happier than those with $2M. They're just solving different problems. $2M problems: "Can I retire at 55?" $50M problems: "Which of my 3 kids is trying to manipulate me?" Money solves money problems. That's it.

Market dispersion right now is wild. SPY down 1% from ATH while MSFT, CRM, NOW down 30-60%. When correlation breaks like this, volatility follows. Not today, but soon. If you're trading futures, size down. Use wider stops. In volatile markets wait for the trade to come to you. Risk management > being right.

The goal isn't to be right. The goal is to survive when you're wrong so you have capital when you're right. That's what separates professionals from amateurs. Position sizing. I can't say it enough. Remember the old Wall Street adage: Markets go up like an escalator and down like an elevator. #PositionSizing

Volatility through the roof this morning. Market wants to recover but can't seem to run away with it. Classic dead cat bounce behavior. Be careful out there. 🐱📉

NFP tomorrow morning. Here's what I'm watching: • Consensus: ~170K jobs • Unemployment: 4.1% expected • Hourly earnings: The real tell Hot number = Fed stays hawkish = risk off Soft number = rate cut hopes = risk on Either way, I'm flat into the print. Learned that lesson the hard way.

The single most important lesson from my first year trading futures: Position sizing > entry. Right on direction but too heavy? Blown up. Wrong on direction but sized right? Survived. The math doesn't care about your conviction.

At my day job, I keep clients calm when markets drop 20%. On my own account, I panic when ES goes 3 points against me. Same market knowledge. Completely different nervous system.

What they don't tell you about being a financial advisor: Year 1-10: You're a salesman. Networking, asset gathering, proving you belong. Year 10-20: You finally become a portfolio manager. Real strategy. Real allocation. Year 20: You open a futures account thinking 'I manage a billion dollars, how hard can this be?' Very hard. Very, very hard. 💀

20 years as a financial advisor. A little over $1B in client assets as my day job. 8 months ago I started trading futures for my own book. Turns out, advising and executing are two completely different games. This is my journal. No filter. 📈
