I wouldn't attend any party that included A. Jones. My love for Twitter has run its course. 💔
I might not tweet again, but I will inshah Allah keep living an interesting life worth living. I hope the same for all of you.

Abundant blessings to everyone. Please enjoy these melodic tones from the Navajo and remember that this American land belongs to the indigenous people. Anyone else living here is only an occupier. youtu.be/jHiD6PaWnus

Mecca is the focal city of Muslims all over the world.
Using "mecca" to describe an epicenter of activity often leads to very strange sentences---like this one:
"Leipzig is considered one of the gay meccas in Europe.

George Floyd should be alive today.
He should be here, celebrating his 50th birthday.
We can't bring him back, but we can honor his legacy and demand change.
Congress must pass comprehensive police reform to prevent more innocent lives from being needlessly cut short.

I choked up the other day because I noticed a subtle yet profound change in the way I think. Before I started meditating almost ten months ago, I would always say IF I get better, such and such thing will happen. But unbeknownst to me, something changed within along the way and I started saying WHEN I get better... It startled me as it is traditionally taboo to exude hope as a person with ALS. But since starting my meditation, I have noticed an internal shift in my thinking and way I perceive the world around me. And yet I remain humble enough to realize I am not in control. It is a burden lifted from my shoulders. Nevertheless, I fought back tears as it dawned upon me that change really does start from within. The way we think. The whispers we tell ourselves. All are the roots of this tree that govern how we grow and blossom in this world. Only strong roots can help us weather through the storm. Listen closely to what you say to yourself.

After a tough couple of weeks....(For many reasons)...
I was sitting on the northern line 🚇...the usual sight before me-people looking at their phones with earphones 🎧 in.... silence apart from the noise of the train rolling on the tracks...
Until the person sitting next to me says "hiya.... it's warm on here isn't it!?" 🥵
He's a fellow non Londoner...he asked about my job and what I do...he empathised ...he shared his understanding for how hard it is for us in education because his wife works in schools......
I ask about his job and he says "I'm the innovation director at Warburtons".....
I mean this was enough for me to completely malfunction...this has to be the best job in the world.(second to headship of course!)..
For the next 10 minutes we chat away until he says....
"Are you on LinkedIn?....give me your details and I'll send your school a few bits"
A few days later.... I'm informed by my office staff that there had been a delivery of 3 boxes....
The contents were... you've guessed it.... @Warburtons products.... products we gave out to our families.....some families who need this more than you can imagine!
This one single act if kindness has reduced (although only for a short time) stress and worry for some about where their next meals are coming from!
Thank you @Warburtons and to Darren! ❤️🍞❤️
