PRESS STATEMENT KADUNA RALLY: ADC MOCKS APC OVER ‘EMPTY SEATS, RENTED CROWD, RECYCLED PROMISES’ ADC-PCC accuses ruling party of staging a disappointing Northwest flag-off, says Nigerians will reject Tinubu in 2027 The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) Northwest zonal flag-off rally in Kaduna as a monumental disappointment, accusing the ruling party of relying on rented crowds, empty seats and recycled promises. Reacting to the rally held at the Kaduna Township Stadium, the Director of Media and Publicity of the ADC-PCC, Kola Ologbondiyan, said an event intended to demonstrate the APC’s political strength across the Northwest had instead exposed what he described as the party’s declining public acceptance. Ologbondiyan alleged that the APC mobilised people from the seven states of the Northwest and beyond, with payments reportedly ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦100,000 per person, yet the stadium, which he put at a capacity of 5,000, remained sparsely occupied. “For a rally billed as the Northwest zonal flag-off, what we witnessed was a shameful spectacle. Despite the alleged mobilisation of crowds from across the zone and beyond, the stadium remained scantily filled, with empty seats everywhere,” he said. He added that the turnout, which he described as disappointing, was compounded by what he called the unenthusiastic reception given to the speeches and messages of APC leaders. The ADC-PCC Director also criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reported commissioning of road projects at the event, describing the exercise as troubling and questioning the administration’s claims of performance. Ologbondiyan further alleged that some attendees expressed dissatisfaction with the ruling party after leaving the stadium, chanting the Hausa phrase “Ba mu yi,” which he interpreted as a rejection of the APC and its policies. “You can rent a crowd, but you cannot rent acceptance. Even if people attend a rally, that does not mean they have surrendered their convictions. The real test of public support is what Nigerians will decide at the ballot box,” he said. The ADC-PCC accused the APC of returning to Kaduna with promises similar to those made during the 2015, 2019 and 2023 election cycles, arguing that the ruling party had failed to adequately account for its years in power. It also faulted President Tinubu for, according to the council, shifting responsibility for the hardship facing Nigerians to opposition leaders rather than addressing the economic consequences of his administration’s policies. Ologbondiyan particularly criticised the President’s position on fuel subsidy removal, which the ADC-PCC maintains has intensified the economic burden on households already struggling with rising living costs. The council urged the APC to stop what it described as wasteful political jamborees, apologise to Nigerians over the prevailing economic difficulties and begin to prepare for an orderly transfer of power in 2027. It maintained that the ADC represents a credible alternative for Nigerians seeking a change in leadership, promising that the electorate would use the next general election to express its dissatisfaction with the ruling party. “The message from Kaduna is loud and clear: Nigerians are saying ‘Ba mu yi’ to the APC and Tinubu. Come 2027, they will speak even louder with their votes,” Ologbondiyan declared. Signed: Kola Ologbondiyan Director, Media and publicity.

PRESS STATEMENT KWANKWASO IS DOING TINUBU’S BIDDING, HIS CALL FOR ATIKU TO STEP DOWN RECKLESS, UNCOUTH — ADC-PCC Campaign Council accuses him of plotting to divide opposition, insists Atiku will win Kano with or without his support . The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) has berated Senator @KwankwasoRM over his call for former Vice President @atiku Abubakar to step down for Mr @PeterObi , describing the statement as reckless, self-serving and a desperate attempt to advance President @officialABAT political interests ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The Director of Media and Publicity of the ADC-PCC, @officialKolaO , stated this while reacting to Kwankwaso’s interview on Channels Television, accusing the former Kano State governor of focusing on opposition leaders rather than confronting the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration that Nigerians are desperate to vote out. Ologbondiyan declared that Atiku Abubakar would win Kano State (Kwankwaso's home state) in the 2027 presidential election with or without Kwankwaso’s support, stressing that the hardship, hunger, poverty and insecurity confronting Nigerians would ultimately determine their choices at the polls. He noted that Kwankwaso’s position was particularly curious given his own political alignment with Peter Obi and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), arguing that, as a member of the opposition seeking to unseat the incumbent government, his priority should be building a stronger opposition rather than attempting to undermine another opposition leader. “Rather than campaigning against President Tinubu, whose administration Nigerians are eagerly working to vote out, Kwankwaso is fixated on Atiku Abubakar, the ADC candidate, whom millions of Nigerians believe can restore economic stability and make life affordable again. “Why is Kwankwaso so obsessed with Atiku? The answer may lie in his own political calculations. Having reportedly described the office of the Vice President as a ‘spare tyre’, he appears more concerned about positioning himself for the 2031 presidential election rather than addressing the urgent challenges confronting Nigerians today,” Ologbondiyan said. The ADC-PCC spokesman argued that Kwankwaso’s conduct raised questions about his actual political preferences for 2027, suggesting that his actions appeared more beneficial to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) than supporting any of the opposition candidates. Ologbondiyan, however, maintained that history did not support the assumption that Kwankwaso’s political influence was indispensable to any presidential candidate seeking victory in Kano. Citing the 2003 and 2007 presidential elections, Ologbondiyan recalled that former President Muhammadu Buhari secured victories in Kano despite not enjoying Kwankwaso’s support, arguing that Atiku could equally win the state in 2027. “What Kwankwaso is doing amounts to advancing President Tinubu’s interests. It is a familiar APC strategy to use willing collaborators within the opposition to create confusion, sow division and weaken the collective efforts to bring about political change. “Nigerians are wiser than that and will not allow themselves to be distracted by political manoeuvres designed to rescue an unpopular administration,” he said. Ologbondiyan further accused Kwankwaso of having a history of political manoeuvring that, in his view, placed personal ambition above the collective interests of opposition parties. He alleged that Kwankwaso’s latest intervention was less about strengthening Peter Obi’s presidential prospects than positioning himself for future political negotiations ahead of 2031. “Nigerians are not fooled. There is a growing perception that Kwankwaso’s support for Peter Obi is driven more by his personal ambition than by a genuine commitment to the opposition’s collective objective of defeating the APC.

What’s the differences between Tinubu and Abacha ?
Peter Obi was working and making money under this same dictator who fought ruthlessly against democracy. Today, Peter Obi is claiming to be more democratic than those who sacrificed their lives for democracy.

BOLA TINUBU CALLS IT PROSPERITY BUT NIGERIANS CAN BARELY AFFORD TO LIVE Being the text of address delivered by His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, GCON,Waziri Adamawa, Vice President of Nigeria (1999-2007), and African Democratic Congress’ (ADC) Presidential Candidate for the 2027 General Elections in Nigeria, on the 66th anniversary of Independence Day on 1st October 2026, at the African Democratic Congress Headquarters, Abuja My fellow Nigerians, Sixty-six years after independence, millions of Nigerians are fighting for things a free country should never put beyond their reach: food on the table, a wage that lasts the month, and a safe journey home. The past three years under Bola Tinubu have plunged Nigeria into the most severe cost of living crisis in our history. Families are not merely tightening their belts. They are skipping meals, delaying treatment and borrowing to survive until payday. And what has this government asked of them? More patience. More sacrifice. More faith in figures they cannot eat. While Nigerians are lectured about hardship, those in power preside over brazen waste, corruption and a budget process that makes a mockery of fiscal discipline. The people are told there is no money to ease their pain, yet government always seems to find money for its own appetites. Tinubu removed the fuel subsidy with one announcement and no credible protection in place for the families who would bear the shock. Petrol, transport and the cost of moving food rose. He promised that the savings would benefit Nigerians. Three years later, the pain has an address in every home. Bola, where is the benefit? And beyond the market, our nation is bleeding. Armed groups have killed thousands and driven families from their communities. Farmers fear their fields. Parents fear for children in their classrooms. Families dread the call demanding ransom for someone they love. A government that cannot make life affordable and cannot protect life has failed the two tests that matter most to its people. This is not the Nigeria our founders struggled to set free. But I will not ask you to surrender to despair. Despair is not a strategy. We have a path to recovery, and we must take it. Today, Bola Tinubu told us that the “emergency treatment is over” and the “age of prosperity” has begun. A President may announce a new chapter in a speech. He cannot announce food onto a family’s table or money into a worker’s pocket. Bola, where is this prosperity? Bola says inflation has fallen. A slower rise in prices does not restore what families have lost. He cites growth and rising exports. Nigerian businesses deserve credit for what they have achieved. But growth must improve lives. It cannot be a certificate of success that government awards itself while citizens struggle to survive. Bola, you call Nigeria a patient with cancer. After three years of your treatment, why is it harder for Nigerians to buy food, pay for medicine or even get to work? Why does your government have more money while the people can afford less? You say Nigerians must endure the pain because you are curing the disease. But when a patient cries out, a doctor listens. He does not call the patient “regressive” for asking when he will get better. He does not point to the hospital’s rising revenue and declare him healed. A patient who cannot afford to live is not proof that the treatment is working. And you cannot speak as though you arrived from the moon in 2023. Your party had governed Nigeria for eight years. If the country was as sick as you say, tell Nigerians what responsibility your party bears for its condition. 1/

PRESS STATEMENT Nigeria @ 66: David Mark Felicitates Nigerians, Calls for Renewed Commitment to National Unity Former Senate President and National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Alechenu Bonaventure Mark, GCON, has felicitated with Nigerians as the nation marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, urging citizens and leaders alike to renew their commitment to the unity, peace, stability and development of the country. Senator Mark, in a goodwill message to Nigerians, described the attainment of independence from British colonial rule as a defining milestone in the nation’s history and a testament to the resilience, courage and enduring aspirations of the Nigerian people. He said that, 66 years after independence, the occasion should not merely be a celebration of the past but an opportunity for sober reflection on the journey so far and a renewed determination to build a Nigeria where justice, equity, security and prosperity are accessible to all. According to him, Nigeria possesses enormous human and material resources capable of transforming the country into a prosperous and globally respected nation, stressing that the challenge is to harness these resources responsibly for the common good. “At 66, our nation has every reason to celebrate, but we must also reflect deeply on our journey as a people. Independence was not simply the termination of colonial rule; it was the beginning of our collective responsibility to build a nation founded on justice, unity, peace and shared prosperity. “Nigeria belongs to all of us. Our diversity should remain a source of strength, not division. We must continue to promote national unity, mutual respect and inclusion, while ensuring that every citizen, regardless of ethnic, religious, political or geographical background, has a sense of belonging. “The Nigeria of our dream is possible if we place national interest above personal and sectional considerations. We must strengthen our democratic institutions, uphold the rule of law and create an environment where our young people can live, work and realise their potential in their own country.” Senator Mark acknowledged the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers, past leaders, members of the armed forces, security agencies and millions of ordinary Nigerians who have contributed to the survival and growth of the country over the decades. He called on political leaders to see public office as a solemn trust and an opportunity to serve rather than a platform for personal enrichment, urging all Nigerians to remain committed to democratic values and peaceful coexistence. The ADC National Chairman also urged Nigerians not to lose faith in the country despite the challenges confronting the nation, stressing that the strength of Nigeria lies ultimately in the resilience and determination of its people. He expressed optimism that with visionary leadership, responsible citizenship, institutional reforms and a renewed spirit of patriotism, Nigeria can overcome its present difficulties and fulfil its enormous potential. Senator Mark congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad on the 66th Independence Anniversary and prayed for peace, stability, prosperity and greater unity across the country. “As we celebrate Nigeria at 66, let us renew our faith in our country and recommit ourselves to the task of building the Nigeria we desire and deserve. The journey may be challenging, but together, with courage, sacrifice and sincerity of purpose, we can build a nation that future generations will be proud to inherit. “Happy Independence Anniversary to all Nigerians. May God continue to bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Signed: Kola Ologbondiyan, Special Adviser,Media and Publicity to the National Chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC)

PRESS STATEMENT TMG: Zulum’s Arrest of Citizens Is a Gift to Tinubu, Reckless Abuse of Power — ADC PCC — Intimidation, Arrests Won’t Stop Nigerians From Voting Out Tinubu in 2027. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has condemned the arrest of members of the “Tinubu Must Go” (TMG) movement in Maiduguri, Borno State, by the administration of Governor Babagana Zulum, describing the action as a reckless abuse of power and office. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Director of Media and Publicity of the ADC PCC, Kola Ologbondiyan, described the arrests as an attempt to intimidate and silence citizens expressing opposition to the government. “The arrest of members of the Tinubu Must Go (#TMG) movement in Maiduguri by the state governor is reckless and a total abuse of power and office. It is a welcome gift for President Tinubu,” Ologbondiyan said. He alleged that some state governors were now engaged in a race to impress President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the expense of the rights and welfare of ordinary citizens. “What is in vogue among some of these current governors is a race to impress Tinubu at the expense of ordinary citizens,” he stated. Ologbondiyan stressed that Nigerians have the constitutional right to express their political preferences and opinions, including calls to vote for party and candidate of their choice in 2027. He maintained that expressing the slogan “Tinubu must go” or “Tinubu must leave” constitutes a form of political expression and, in itself, does not amount to a criminal offence. The ADC PCC spokesman further alleged that the arrests were intended to intimidate members of the ADC and other opposition groups ahead of the 2027 general elections. He, however, insisted that arrests, harassment and intimidation would not deter Nigerians from exercising their franchise. “The intimidation of citizens through arrest and other unlawful means will not deter the people from voting out President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the January 16, 2027 election,” Ologbondiyan said. The ADC PCC therefore called on Governor Zulum to ensure the immediate and unconditional release of those arrested and to guarantee their safety. The council also urged the authorities to ensure that no harm came to the detainees, recalling what it described as a similar incident in Minna, Niger State, a fortnight earlier. “Zulum should know that in a few months, he will be an ordinary citizen, and no amount of intimidation and harassment will deter Nigerians from voting out Tinubu, Ologbondiyan added. The ADC PCC also appealed to the international community, particularly the African Union (AU), European Union (EU), British High Commission and United States Embassy, to take note of what it described as the growing use of harassment and intimidation against citizens exercising their democratic rights. It urged the international community to support efforts to protect Nigeria’s democratic space and safeguard citizens’ fundamental rights. Ologbondiyan recalled that when the All Progressives Congress (APC) was in opposition, its members openly criticised and attacked the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. He said Jonathan, despite the criticism directed at his government, did not order the arrest of citizens merely for exercising their right to free speech. Signed: Kola Ologbondiyan Director, Media and Publicity ADC Presidential Campaign Council.

On the question of subsidy, my position has not changed and will not change: I will restore it! A nation as blessed as ours has no business abandoning its citizens to hardship. Nigeria is rich enough to look after her own. I believe the wealth of a nation is not measured by how much government collects, but by how much the money in the pockets of its people can buy. I want wages to have value again. I want farmers to move produce without transport swallowing their profits. I want families to fill their baskets without emptying their pockets. I want businesses to produce, employ and prosper. That is why I will restore targeted subsidy and put purchasing power back in the hands of Nigerians. When fuel rises, transport rises. When transport rises, food rises. When food rises, families suffer. I will break that wretched chain that has defined our national life in the nearly four years of Tinubu’s presidency. I will support Nigerian production, reduce energy costs and restore purchasing power. I will not restore the import racket; I will restore relief. I restated this commitment when I received the Osun State leadership of the ADC in Abuja on Tuesday. I will make the naira in your pocket worth more, make daily living affordable again, and secure our people. Economic security. Physical security. A better life for every Nigerian. That is the Nigeria I intend to build. -AA
