If plants have bite marks or are clipped by cutworms, the culprit is often nearby the scene of the crime. During the day find larvae burrowed in the soil, often 1/2" deep. Once larvae reach >30 mm, most of their feeding is finished. Bean threshold: >1 /m of row or 20% plants cut

Kochia was always a hard weed to control. The job is much harder now with many kochia populations having stacked resistance to multiple herbicide groups.
