€2.6 trillion is spent on public procurement in the EU every year. Even 1% directed through reserved contracts could represent €26 billion in market access for WISEs. We welcome the EU reform. Now reserved procurement should become measurable, targeted and systematically used.

Simplification is at the heart of today’s #PublicProcurementAct: from 3 directives to 1 regulation, from 900 pages to 200, from 5 to 3 procurement procedures, flexibility in setting criteria, integrating provisions from 26 sectorial acts and a new digital ecosystem for simpler, more transparent and efficient procurement.
