Agents have made AWS-cli and terraform my defacto AWS interface and I’m never going back.
AWS just got a lot easier to use.

Is the panic warranted? Seems simple enough to just weight exams more heavily.
Study from China: Students who used AI saw a 18% increase in grades on homework while spending only 45 minutes (down from 64). But they scored 20% lower on tests. This is what’s happening right now in US schools.

Imagine thinking proprietary software, and the ability to build it, has no moat.
the models have no moat (OpenAI, Anthropic, XAI) the IDEs have no moat (Cursor, Windsurf) the harnesses have no moat (Cognition, Factory, LangChain) the app builders have no moat (Replit, Lovable, Bolt) the wrappers have no moat (Harvey, Abridge, OpenEvidence) the inference providers have no moat (Together, Fireworks, Groq) the voice layer has no moat (Sierra, Decagon, ElevenLabs) the data labeling companies have no moat (Scale, Surge, Mercor) the AI infrastructure has no moat (Baseten, Modal, Railway) the neoclouds have no moat (CoreWeave, Lambda, Crusoe) the generative media companies have no moat (Runway, Higgsfield, Suno) apparently nobody in AI has a moat except the venture firm ☠️

Researchers built a soft floating robot for indoor interaction. It uses helium and flapping fins instead of propellers. The result is quiet, lightweight, and safe to touch. It can follow people, give reminders, and act as a study buddy. Published at ACM DIS 2026.

I reflect on this often and, my word, has AI really flipped the scales in the other direction here. Your ability to define and impose precise objective functions is the entire game now.
no one serious actually does TDD

Before, TDD didn’t work on high performance teams because transcribing requirements as elaborate test suites competed for the time to actually write the business logic. The algebra has fundamentally changed, where the cost of the latter is almost free.

Insider trading on military-action event contracts is just.. leaking classified intel right?
It appears that a Polymarket account called "Magamyman" made $515,000 in a single day betting on last night's U.S. strike on Iran, with the first trade placed 71 minutes before the news broke publicly. When this person bought in, the market had this at a 17% probability. They turned roughly $87,000 into over half a million dollars overnight. Reminder that Donald Trump Jr. sits on Polymarket's advisory board and his firm invested double-digit millions into the platform last year. The DOJ and CFTC both had active investigations into Polymarket that were dropped after Trump took office. Prediction markets cannot be a vehicle for profiting off advance knowledge of military action. We need answers, transparency, and oversight.

In Germany, prototypes of bioelectronic insects for military purposes were unveiled The company SWARM Biotactics has developed a technology that combines living insects with neural interfaces, AI, and sensors, turning them into autonomous reconnaissance platforms. The project has progressed from concept to application within a year, with field tests already completed. The advantage of such systems over drones is their high mobility, low noise levels, and ability to access hard-to-reach places.

AI just let anyone become a car mechanic. Remember that when reading mono-narrative drivel about tech-fueled job displacement.
Google cooked so hard. Not gonna lie, this feels like the future is here. Now develop Google Glasses with enough battery power, a good chip, and a look like Ray-Bans, and you'll have an instant hit. 100%.
