“We got the most out of it” Race recap from Barcelona, where our brand ambassador @KevinMagnussen and BMW M Team WRT secured another solid points finish in the FIA World Endurance Championship! The Dane and his teammates fought their way from P16 to P7, collecting valuable points for the Drivers' Championship 💪 Heavy rain made conditions extremely tricky, with incidents bringing out the Safety Car twice in the opening 30 minutes. But Kevin, who started the race, stayed out of trouble and steadily moved up the order as the track dried before handing over to his teammates. The BMW trio eventually reached P5 before the final round of pit stops saw them finish seventh. “I think we got the most out of a pretty challenging weekend. After the change in weather and the heavy rain, we knew the start could be chaotic, but we managed to stay out of trouble, worked our way well through the field and were running in the top five at one point,” said Kevin Magnussen. “Unfortunately, the final round of pit stops didn't work in our favour, but seventh place still gives us some good championship points. Now we're looking ahead to the finale, where hopefully we can finish the season on a high,” he added. And there's more good news! Not every download needs to go through an approval request, while some should never be allowed onto an endpoint in the first place. With 𝗪𝗲𝗯 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, IT teams can create rules to pre-approve trusted software or hard-block specific downloads. Rules can be based on the source website, direct download URL, SHA256 checksum, vendor certificate, or a combination of vendor and application name. And that's a wrap on our @AdminByRequest US/NZ Summit! 🤠 For our third and final day, we swapped conference rooms and presentations for cowboy hats, boots, and a full day of authentic Texas ranch life at Lone Star Ranch. And what a day it was! We tried our hands at clay pigeon shooting, one-on-one horse training, lariat roping, knife throwing, and archery. We decorated our own cowboy (and cowgirl) hats, met some very friendly kittens and donkeys, came face-to-face with a real Texas Longhorn, and discovered that riding a mechanical bull is a LOT harder than it looks (although that didn't stop some of us from going back for seconds...). We also enjoyed a traditional Texan feast of ribs, cornbread, and coleslaw, before finishing the night with live country music and a singalong around the fire. For many of us, including team members from the US, New Zealand, and Denmark, this was a completely new experience. And one we won't be forgetting anytime soon! But beyond the cowboy hats (and questionable bull-riding skills...), there's something important about days like this. Working for a global company means working alongside people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds every day. The same goes for the customers we serve around the world. And while our Summits are an opportunity to share business updates, discuss our products, and plan for the future, they're also an opportunity to learn more about each other, experience different cultures firsthand, and better understand the people we work with. Because building a great global team isn't just about working well together. It's also about understanding each other, appreciating our differences, and making the effort to connect beyond our screens and Teams meetings. A huge thank you to our US team for giving us such an incredible taste of Texas, and to everyone who travelled from near and far to make this Summit so memorable. Until the next one! P.S.
