And when my book comes out next year, I will be conducting random questions and answers on the timeline, to know people who have bought it and read it. The rest will be penalized.
Couldn’t pick a book all day because I was working, now that I’m on my way home ( on the train) and I have a free time to pick up a book and read, it’s performative
This is my reality.
I have to force myself to finish a book in a week (sometimes I end up reading it for the entire month)
Really tough

“Ehn, poetry is hard to read.” “Oh I’m not a poet so I can’t read and review poetry”Hello!?
All you have to do is go through these 5 steps!
But first, as a beginner, start with contemporary poetry (not epics or old English sonnets).
Here are 3 recs:
• The Years of Blood by @adedayoagarau
• Jazz Negotiations by @echenduka
• A Black Bird Sings About Loss by @justblacc_
Now the hows:
1. Read first time for context
2. Read second time for rhythm/cadence
3. Dissect (tone, structure, repetitions)
4. Ask: What is this poem doing?
5. Share your thoughts.
Easy peasy. Now, tag someone and buddy read a collection together!

Btw, for my book launch and yap session, I had 140+ registrations in less than 24hours, over 50 people gathered live to celebrate that milestone with me.
People kept going on and on about how great I am and that seeing the book is an expression of that greatness makes them want to read it and they did put their money where their mouth was.
Icl, it’s been incredibly fulfilling hitting this milestones as an independent author.
I just made a sale in Ghana and idek anyone there or ever been. I had said on the call I wanted my work to travel and the universe is giving me exactly that. Whew!
There are graces yet to find me, but today? I am not without grace.

What have we done to deserve this?🥺
First, ElNathan John. Now, Chimeka Garricks. I even heard we can expect to hear from Femi Kayode in 2027.
What a time to be a reader!
The replies to this post screams RAGE BAIT.
TF ?????
Nigerians are very unkind people oooo.
Whatttttttt????
Omo
Nigerians are wicked.
@chowdeck I ordered food, your rider brought the food to the hospital he calls me I begged him that I’m on admission and I’m currently on drip that babe should please bring it inside this hospital. This man told me to pay him 1500….
There's nothing that screams RAGEBAIT like the ending of "joys of motherhood". Left your mom to suffer and then throw a party and even built a shrine in her name. I hiss like 5million times
There’s no way a Biafra war story would have an happy ending. NO WAY!!!
Kainene going missing was intentional. It also highlights the reality of the aftermath of the war.
There was a similar motif in “Tomorrow I Become a woman”
Looks like a benefit until you finish nysc and you start looking for work, but you have nothing to show apart from teaching experience
Yesterday, @omgdssslade sent me a piece I wrote about 2-3years ago, and shared with her,
And I can’t overemphasize this tweet. Write, just write.
Even if you are down bad, write 😂
Just write. Write the stupid things. Write the intelligent ones. Write about your love life. Write about your faith, your love or hatred of God. Write about your failing health. Write about your addictions, your obsessions, your musings, the things that keep you up at night, the stories you want to tell, the things that make you happy, the things that leave you sad. It really doesn’t matter. Just write.
