I NEVER had a problem with Yhwh. In fact, one of my favorite worship songs was "Yhwh" by Vineyard Music. I didn't think I was making excuses for Yhwh's abhorrent behavior. I didn't even recognize it as abhorrent. To me, it was perfectly normal. A holy God demands holiness from his people. The Israelites were rebellious, unfaithful, and disobedient. They deserved whatever punishment they received. I believed that. Completely. Christianity had so thoroughly seared my conscience that I could look at genocide, the slaughter of children, collective punishment, and unimaginable cruelty - and call it GOOD. Not because I had carefully examined the evidence and concluded these things were righteous. But because I had already decided that Yhwh was God. And God, by definition, cannot be evil. The conclusion was established before the evidence was even considered. If you questioned his actions, the problem wasn't Yhwh. The problem was YOU. You lacked faith. You lacked understanding. You lacked the Spirit of God. That's how thoroughly Christianity had conditioned me to defend evil. But about ten years ago, I saw something in the biblical narratives that I had never noticed before. Something that challenged the very foundation of everything I had believed and taught for decades. I wasn't alone. A group of friends and I spent 19 months investigating the evidence before I said a single word publicly. We examined the narratives, the contradictions, the identities, the claims, and, most importantly, the actions. By the end, we had all reached the same conclusion. Yhwh is NOT God. He is the very adversary who seeks to establish himself as God and demand the worship and obedience of humanity. Jesus was not sent by Yhwh. He was sent by Abba - His Father. He came to fulfill Yhwh's Law through complete submission to its demands, thereby executing the very legal agreement that would free humanity from Yhwh's authority. This changes EVERYTHING. It's now been ten years since I first recognized who Yhwh is. And in those ten years, the evidence has continued to accumulate. Passages that once seemed disconnected now form a coherent legal narrative. Contradictions that Christianity taught me to explain away have become some of the most revealing evidence of all. I am convinced that the orthodox identification of Yhwh as the Father revealed by Jesus is fundamentally false. The evidence, as I understand it, points to a far more disturbing conclusion. Yhwh is Satan. The Devil. The Evil One. It was Yhwh who rebelled against the Kingdom and was cast down. He then took the Hebrews out of Egypt, only to subject them to what amounted to a prolonged Hunger Games in the wilderness - a brutal process of elimination in which survival depended upon obedience to him. He starved them, tested them, terrorized them, and killed them. An entire generation was condemned to die in the wilderness. Survival of the fittest. Survival of the most obedient. He forged the survivors into a military force and sent them to wage war against other human beings - against members of the very family he claimed to have created. And Christianity taught me to call all of this LOVE. I no longer do. I see in Yhwh's actions not the character of a loving Father, but the character of an accuser, a tyrant, and an adversary to humanity. Yhwh does not love humanity. His actions reveal contempt for us. He demands worship, obedience, sacrifice, and blood. He punishes dissent and destroys those who resist his authority. And the reason, I have come to believe, is devastatingly simple. Yhwh did not create humanity. He claimed ownership of what was never his. Jesus came to reveal our TRUE Father - Abba - and to liberate humanity from the one who had claimed to be our God. For decades, I defended Yhwh because Christianity told me he was God. Today, I judge him by the standard Jesus Himself gave us. BY THEIR FRUIT YOU WILL KNOW THEM. Not by their titles. Not by their claims. Not by their demands for worship. By their actions. And once I began applying that standard to Yhwh, I could never see him the same way again. ❤️‍🔥
