2023 US teen frequent use:

Why don't @FDATobacco and @CDCTobaccoFree inform the American public and journalists of the objecctive FACT that teen "problematic" use of nicotine is now near nil?

🔎 This clip is part of a broad campaign supported by the UK National Health Service. Meanwhile, as more than 1,300 Americans die each day from smoking, @FDATobacco’s Brian King is spending millions to study whether he can say the same thing. In five years. Maybe.

I invite all of us to work together to educate the public and the health care providers who treat them about the real and relative impact of different tobacco and nicotine products on health. As @CDCTobaccoFree says, "Quit-smoking medicines containing nicotine (NRTs) do not cause death and diseases like cigarettes do. Most of the dangers of smoking are due to the hundreds of toxic chemicals in the cigarette smoke, not the nicotine." (lnkd.in/eafhRbdg.)
This means that when separated from that toxic soup of cancer-causing and otherwise harmful chemicals, nicotine can benefit millions of people everywhere - in the U.K. (the focus of this video), the U.S. and in countries across the globe where cigarette smoking remains the #1 cause of premature death.

How many US teens have MEASURABLE signs of nicotine dependence today?
This seems like an obvious question.
@CDCgov's NYTS shows frequent use of cigarettes is now 0.3%. Near nil.
Teen nicotine vaping? Frequent use = 2.7%. Daily use 1.9%. Near nil.
Why not tell the public?

ANTZ continue to claim #SaferNicotine alternatives are the coming apocalypse.
Question: Will they sing a different tune when, 10 years in the future, product substitution has progressed even further... and cancer, heart and lung disease are noticeably dropping?

Just arrived at the Scottish Parliament where I will be giving evidence to the Scottish Government on their proposed vaping legislation. The UKVIA is the only vape trade body speaking. Encouraging that Scotland engages with the industry unlike their Westminster counterparts

It's so odd. @DrCaliff_FDA and @FDATobacco say that tackling misinformation is their top priority. But it seems like the only people doing anything about it are ordinary Americans on @CommunityNotes.

It’s literally incredible. The world’s leading public health authority, @WHO, is now getting regularly lit up by @CommunityNotes for brazen and calculated deceits about nicotine vaping. Let’s take a close look.

Single-use vapes can't be recycled which means that those 16 000 novelty flavoured vapes fill up our landfills with toxic chemicals.
Will we keep letting big tobacco get away with this? It’s time to step in and say no.
