Kusama’s anti- Black racism was virulent, long term, disturbing & this woman thought someone like me didn’t have the capacity to understand her art or should stand in a room with her. I was a fan then I was not. That’s all.

She held such profoundly anti-Black racist views (which were documented in her book) that she was forced to apologise to save a major exhibition.
Her views were so racist that they edited them out of the English translated version to save her brand.
