We’re excited to share the next phase of what’s coming to downtown Salt Lake City. The new district will have something for everyone.
It’ll have a new convention center, updated Abravanel Hall, new art museum, transformed Delta Center, Live Nation venue, strong local vibe combined with new iconic brands, hotel, housing, restaurants, and a central pedestrian walkway connecting the whole downtown from City Creek all the way to the new front door of the Delta Center.
The Delta Center will be open again in a matter of days. Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth owner Ryan Smith said the arena will be ready for the Mammoth’s preseason game against Colorado this Saturday—even though there’s still a lot of equipment to move out between now and then.
The Big 12 is banning pro athletes from returning to play in college, joining the SEC and Big Ten who made that rule for their football players. BYU fans, do you think Jaxson Kohler will still be able to suit up?
Update on the #DugwayFire: No homes are evacuated, but crews are urging people to be prepared to leave depending on how the fire behaves later today. 15-20 acres burned. 0% contained as of last update. Avoid the area if possible. @kslnewsradio
BREAKING- A large brush fire is burning off of Highway 89 at the mouth of Weber Canyon. It is impacting traffic, but we don’t know yet whether any buildings have been damaged.

The Great Salt Lake is now quickly approaching it's second-lowest level ever recorded. It's now been 14 years since the lake hit it's minimum healthy level. What's the plan if it hits a record low down the road? What do we need to do to fix this?

Good. Not a key piece, but it'd be silly to let him loose while re-signing Huerter. We also cannot afford to lose what little shooting we have.
Not surprising. Jazz already have Lauri, JJJ and Nurkic. No way they were paying him this kind of money with his injury history. #takenote
Breaking: The Lakers are acquiring Walker Kessler from the Jazz for unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033 and first-round swaps in 2028 and 2030, sources tell @ShamsCharania.
Kessler will sign a massive four-year, $130 million deal with the Lakers.

THE DETROIT PISTONS SIGNED JOHN COLLINS 👀
Well...this is interesting. Watch him become an absolute star and leave another stain on Yzerman's putrid tenure as Redwings GM lol #detroit #redwings #mammoth #tusksup
We have signed goaltender Sebastian Cossa to a two-year deal.

For a franchise that filled their roster with terrible picks for years, this has to be one of their worst drafts in the last decade at least.
Absolutely heartbreaking. I loved listening to Kenny every single day. His hockey takes, humor, and spirit were unmatched. My heart goes out to his wife, family, and coworkers at 97.1. @hatchet971 @TJLang70 @RicoBeard I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you all. 💔
'We're heartbroken:' 97.1 The Ticket's Kenny Kott passes away at 32
Mike Valenti: "I would always bust his chops, like, 'Man, what do you want out of life? ... And he would always say, 'No, I just always wanted to be part of a radio show."

I could see and smell the smoke from the Cottonwood Fire from more than ten miles away when I drove to Beaver last night. This morning flames are still visible as the fire continues to burn. It’s at roughly 70,000 acres and counting.
