Today is #worldmentalhealthday. If you are in the middle of it right now, you are not alone in it. My story almost took me out - putting it out there in Funny Money so it might help someone feel seen in their own struggle is the whole point. We are all just walking each other through.

I want to express something that is not always easy for me. After my brother and his wife almost tore my soul out, I understood what it feels like to be so mentally tired that you stop looking for the light. But you have to keep looking. You can get through anything. I didn't just lose money, I lost my ability to function. I was blessed to have comedy to keep me going, but not everybody has an outlet. When the walls are closing in, it can feel like there's no moving forward. I wish there was a simple roadmap out. It starts with loving yourself and getting the help you need and trusting the people around you who want nothing more than to see you thriving.

Notes like this fill my heart up. I was in pursuit of a story that would be emotional and funny. I feel like I’ve done my job to the best of my extent here. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
@DaneCook Watching your documentary, #FunnyMoneyTheDaneCookStory, and my heart genuinely breaks for you.
Imagine spending your entire life working hard, building a career, and making millions of people laugh, only to discover that the very people you trusted most were stealing millions from you. And one of them was your own brother.
The financial loss is staggering, but the betrayal? That’s the part that’s truly heartbreaking. 💔
I had the pleasure of meeting you years ago in Philadelphia, and I still remember how incredibly kind and genuine you were. You left such a wonderful impression on me.
You deserved so much better from the people closest to you. Wishing you nothing but continued success, happiness, and people in your corner who genuinely have your best interests at heart. ❤️
