Well, how about that! On the most recent episode of Amoeba Records' "What's In My Bag?" series, none other than Elvis Costello proudly pulled a copy of "Treasures of Soviet Animation, Volume 1" out of his shopping bag! Check out this excerpt, in which Costello talks about how his kids' love of Anime, Manga and horror have opened his mind to new artistic possibilities before calling out the Chatterbird from Roman Kochanov's THE MYSTERY OF THE THIRD PLANET as an especially odd selling point! Big THANKS to Mr. Costello for checking out our films - hope you and your kids enjoy(ed) them! And extra-special thanks to @amoebarecords not just for the endlessly enjoyable "What's In My Bag?" series, but for proudly stocking Deaf Crocodile films in their store where cool people like Neko Case and Elvis Costello can find them! #deafcrocodile #bluray #sovietanimation #amoebarecords #whatsinmybag #cultmovies #2danimation @ElvisCostello
