How long are the Lewis family and Vinai Venkatesham going to keep indirectly blaming Daniel Levy for their own shortcomings? He was removed from his position almost 9 months ago. Whose choice was it to stick with Thomas Frank when we were plummeting down the table? Who decided that ‘we wouldn’t panic’ in January at the peak of our injury crisis? Who oversaw the Igor Tudor debacle? All these decisions took us to the brink of relegation. By their own admission they say that they ‘trust the experts’ in the running of the football club. The issue here is they can’t even appoint individuals fit for purpose. They currently employ a non-executive chairman who, until recently, was unaware it takes 11 players to form a football team. How can anyone have any confidence that these people are fit to lead this football club? They haven’t just stumbled into this mess. They’ve had 25 years to get this right. Rebranding to ‘the Lewis family’ doesn’t suddenly give them a new lease of life.
