I can appreciate the Ryan Gosling casting. He's grown on me over the years. BUT the MCU's failure to acknowledge Agents of Shield (ie, one of the greatest pieces of Marvel media ever) is tragic and only hurting the franchise
Just announced in Hall H:
Ryan Gosling joins the MCU in Marvel Studios' Ghost Rider, directed by Shawn Levy. Only in theaters 2028. #SDCC
Interesting that I've heard a fair number of people expressing displeasure for this season of #TheMandalorian when it was more focused than the other seasons (rather than having Din getting distracted by side quests every other episode). I enjoyed the break from the formula
Because I saw Harry Potter was trending, time for an unpopular opinion that's been on my mind: the franchise isn't actually that great. The first 3 books (and movies 1, 2, & 7) were well written and entertaining, but things went downhill after that. Did not deserve the hype
As long as I'm ranting, let me add that I don't think prologues are bad in and of themselves. Why is there an assumption that these characters will never reappear?
On one hand, I absolutely understand the need for comp titles as a practical and useful tool to identify how a novel will appeal to the market, but isn't the fundamental flaw of this technique that it will ultimately cultivate uniformity? No one can possibly predict the market
are revisiting ideas that haven't been addressed in some time--ideas that will feel fresh and innovative to readers. Agents seem like a savvy bunch, so I don't think that many of them would ignore a story solely based on the comp title
I love everything about this. So glad I taught at a school that put students before grades

There's nothing quite as bittersweet as a kind rejection from an agent
Guess I still #amquerying! This post-apocalyptic pirate adventure story still needs a home
It has now been one year since I started querying, and, though I had one request for more material several months ago, I have not heard back. This process can be disheartening, but I am determined to publish this novel.
