Reading every tweet, replying and quote tweeting multiple times, but outsourcing the actual act of thinking and developing an argument to grom is essentially mentally cucking yourself.

There's really no nicer way to put it. You're doing all the work just so grok can do the part that makes it worth it: having an actual interesting thought. Thinking is supposed to be the reward of arguing!

"grok win this argument for me. Make no mistakes."
@grok explain to Absurdus that whether someone gets away with something has nothing to do with who does the arguing. Explain middle voice (as opposed to active or passive voice) as it relates to this.

Why are you even on x dot com, the app for arguing with people, if you don't want to argue with people?

Imagine if your whole persona was being a tough guy who loves to argue and your response to the mildest possible challenge was "grok explain how a teacher being mean to me when I was 11 traumatized me for life."
the cretins will repeat their POV regardless of whatever you (or anyone else) demonstrates to the contrary use grok to engage with them, your time is valuable and theirs isn't.

I mean she was unreasonable I guess but if you still remember it 20 years later maybe you need to get a little harder.
This was my Picard/3 lights moment 5th grade the teacher gave us this question Everyone except me got it wrong, including her She got the whole class to "explain" it to me Math is just logic, there is no ambiguity, I could not see their answer Then she assigned a girl to take me aside and lecture me Most Soviet experience of my life, including my north Korea trip At parent/teacher conference she told my folks that she thought about it later that night and realized I was right Never said anything to me or apologized in front of the class In a free society she would have been put against the wall for doing what she did to a kid

Something that doesn't get talked about enough is that it's morally highly questionable to publicly accuse someone of something without sufficient evidence, even if you personally know it to be true.
There is no proof that Lindsey Graham was gay. - Speculation based on his mannerisms, voice, and the fact that he never married. - Three gay hookers with no receipts No confirmatory evidence.

There is an idea that medicine "keeps you healthy." It doesn't. Medicine is for when things go catastrophically wrong. A guy who exercises and eats well but never goes to the doctor will do better than a guy who does none of that but sees his doctor every month.
Replying to @TURBOPOSSUM
Also, doctors cannot keep you healthy if you don't live a healthy lifestyle, no matter how much you spend. They can put you on statins, insulin, ACE inhibiters, etc etc, all of which will still mean you'll be sickly, disabled, and die sooner than everyone else.

Send this to any neothomists you know who like to talk about "intrinsic evils."

54 organizations. Only 16 are student or youth groups. So who's really driving the unrest in France? A Fox News Digital investigation identifies a sprawling network of communist organizations, socialist political movements, labor unions and international activists helping organize, support and amplify protests that began over school conditions. The demonstrations have grown into a nationwide confrontation, with riots, looting and attacks on public buildings. Now, an international coalition is mobilizing young people for another wave of protests across Europe. And the connections extend well beyond France. See who's involved and how the network operates: foxnews.com/world/whos-who-i…

Libertarians hold that it's ok for a corporation to determine the common good but not ok for an elected official to.
Between this and our prior commitments, roughly 20% of all Anthropic equity will be dedicated to the public good, and that commitment can grow as Anthropic grows. We plan to use these funds to ensure more people can share in the benefits of AI, and to increase our ability to provide funding to deal with its risks.

If Anthropic gets to determine the common good then Anthropic is in fact the sovereign.

Guys they're both wrong. She was being pushy to make herself seem important, he accurately read this but then responded in a disrespectful way that basically guaranteed he'd get in trouble. It's not that complicated.
I’m sorry but she is the one in the wrong, and you can’t convince me otherwise. There was no reason for her to run up and shove him. Also, she ended up playing no role in treating the injured player, she is an intern trainer.

It's true that many things being called for, if taken literally, are politically impossible. But people commonly mistakenly think that if you can't punish everyone then punishment won't work. That's wrong. Visible, harsh, targeted action has an outsized effect on everyone else.
A lot of people are responding to this by saying that the French government should just use force to put down the riots, but I don't think it's realistic and I want to explain why. Before you get angry at me and accuse me of being a pussy, you should know that I personally think a building such as Limoges's town hall is worth more than most human beings and certainly more than the brainless thugs who burnt it down, but it doesn't matter what I think. We have let things rot for so long that, at this point, relying primarily on force to restore order would require a degree of violence far greater than what people realize and what is politically feasible. It's possible to contain a riot using only moderate force when the number of police officers is high relative to the number of rioters, but when riots are so widespread and involve so many people because you have allowed this kind of things to happen for so long, that's just not possible and you have to use extreme violence to make up for the lack of manpower. I know people on the Internet will say that it doesn't matter and that we should just do it, but the reality is that most of the people in charge are not prepared to use that kind of force and neither would most ordinary people if they saw videos of 16-year-old kids having their brains blown out by cops. I doubt even Le Pen would do that and, if she tried, she would quickly backtrack because of the backlash it would inevitably generate. When you start shooting rioters after years or even decades of letting them run amok with impunity, it will initially result in even more violence, because repression is no longer credible and they will assume that you will cave in the face of the outrage. So it's not enough to shoot people once, you have to keep doing it until your credibility is restored and nobody will even want to test your resolve anymore, which in turn means that you have to kill a lot of people. And you have to be confident that, as you do that, your subordinates and political allies won't get cold feet and desert you because they anticipate that you'll lose and will not want to be on the losing side, giving rise to a self-fulfilling prophecy. I'm sorry but that's just not going to happen. The Soviet hardliners didn't have the stomach for this kind of carnage in 1991, which is why the August coup failed almost immediately, so frankly the idea that French elites in 2027 will is just delusional. As I say below, there are things we can and should do, but we have our work cut out for us and it will take a long time.

I don't mean opening up with machine guns on a crowd, I mean picking a particular riot and bringing down the full force of the law on its leaders. That DOES work, even if statistically speaking only a small minority are actually being targeted. But you need to actually do it.

If this guy knew anything about education in America he'd know that no one getting a 3.8 at a bad school would be getting a 3.9 at a good school.
If you oppose DEI consider the following: Student 1's GPA is 3.9 but has rich parents, world class schooling & tutors Student 2's GPA is 3.8 but is poor & his neighborhood is filled w/ crime & bad schools Should 2's circumstances at least be considered in admission decisions?

If the message of Jesus Christ was "be kind to everyone" then we must surely condemn the figure in the gospels who said the most unkind things, Jesus Christ.

You can just go on this website and say random things and get likes. "Cod is the only fish you should eat West of the Mississippi. True America is actually just Pittsburgh and Jefferson City, Missouri. Subscribe to my substack."
These three areas are all "deepest America" in their own distinct way. For each one, you kinda have to spend a bit of time there to truly understand.
