These are the first two books in the series, check them out! "The Life and Times of Milton Roberts" is the recent winner of 🏆 Best Debut Author by "A.C.C.I" 🏆 2026 Regal Summit Book Award in "Historical Fiction" 🏆 2026 Shakespeare Global Prize for Literary Excellence in "Historical Fiction" The book is available for sale on Amazon and Audible! *Paperback: a.co/d/g501j83 *Hardcover: a.co/d/f9pu1Mz *Kindle: a.co/d/dC1J5FH *Audiobook: a.co/d/08ta83qK (Narrated by Vietnam Veteran Gary Lamm 🇺🇲) "Milton Roberts was born into the silence that followed the Great War, the son of a veteran who carried the weight of the trenches home to the Texas panhandle. In the heart of the Dust Bowl, Milton’s youth is defined by a sky that turns to iron and a family farm that refuses to die. Amidst the grit and the drought, he finds a reason to hope in Lottie Lavery, the girl who represents everything worth saving in a world falling apart. The peace of the plains is short lived. When the fires of World War II ignite across the globe, Milton trades the struggle of the soil for the brutality of the battlefield. From the harrowing camaraderie of the European front to the frozen, forgotten ridges of the Korean War, he learns that the truest brotherhood is forged in fire. Yet, the greatest challenge awaits him back in Dalhart, where the winds of change are blowing harder than the dust ever did. As the American Century marches on, Milton stands as a silent pillar through the birth of the Civil Rights movement and the shadows of national tragedy. He weathers the grief of assassinations and the nuclear tensions of a Cold War that threatens everything he loves. When his own son is drafted into the humid jungles of Vietnam, Milton must confront a legacy of sacrifice that spans generations. Through ninety years of upheaval, from the depths of the Depression to the smoke of 9/11, Milton’s story is a testament to the endurance of the human spirit. It is a sweeping journey of love and grit, proving that even when the world is swept away by the storms of history, the heart remembers where it belongs." Written by A. As his parents Frieda and Dietrich toil in New York’s brutal factories, Henry rises from the grit of the 1899 newsie strike to become a journalist for one of the city’s newspapers, witnessing a world in upheaval through the rise of Rockefeller, the tragedy of the Titanic, and the arrival of the Model T. From the heartbreak of the orphan trains and extreme poverty to the wonders of the Wright brothers and skyscrapers, Henry documents the era until he is drafted into the Great War. After surviving the trenches, he returns in 1918 to face the Spanish Flu pandemic and a marriage to Marta, a fierce suffragette. Amidst the roar of Prohibition and the Harlem Renaissance, the Hayes family stands as a testament to the American spirit, wielding the truth to dismantle deep-rooted corruption and prove that even in the face of overwhelming adversity love prevails, and the voice of the people cannot be silenced." #book #books #america

I don't miss living in New York City, but I do miss the street and subway performers. Both the performers and the food are really the heartbeat of NYC. 🗽🏙️🍎
I ❤️ this so much. This is the real America we live in

Beautiful
How can you NOT believe in God when octopuses dream and otters have a favorite rock they carry around in a little skin pocket and cows have best friends and bees are out there communicating the coordinates of flowers through dancing and they have regional dialects? Cats are purring at frequencies associated with bone healing? Forests get absolutely incinerated and respond by growing flowers? Dolphins literally invent names for themselves and yell them across the ocean? Penguins are waddling around Antarctica looking for the perfect rock to give their partner? CROWS REMEMBER YOUR FACE. THEY TELL OTHER CROWS ABOUT YOU. THEY TELL THEIR CHILDREN ABOUT YOU. YOU CAN HAVE GENERATIONAL BEEF WITH A BIRD. I NEED YOU TO UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS. Goats have accents. Rats laugh when you tickle them. Elephants mourn their dead. Whales make songs and then OTHER WHALES LEARN THE SONG and suddenly everybody across the ocean is singing the new song. Monarch butterflies are born knowing how to fly thousands of miles to a place they have never been. Sea turtles hatch out of an egg, immediately sprint toward an ocean that they have never seen, disappear into it for like 3 decades and then somehow come back to the same beach they hatched on. Birds can see colors that we humans can’t see. There are colors out there right now that we don’t even get to know about. There are sea slugs that eat algae and use the chloroplast/chlorophyll and then are just like…photosynthesizing. And they’re super adorable. There are mushrooms communicating underground. There are seeds sitting in the dirt for decades like “no actually I will wait. It’s fine.” Squirrels plant trees because they forget where they put their snacks. Relatable. A CATERPILLAR GOES INTO A LITTLE BAG THAT IT CREATES ITSELF AND DISSOLVES MOST OF ITS BODY INTO ORGANIC GOO AND REARRANGES ITSELF, GROWS WINGS AND THEN LEAVES. WHY IS THIS NOT MORE BEAUTIFULLY TERRIFYING TO PEOPLE?? And you’re telling me a tiny acorn knows how to become a huge tree? It just has a blueprint inside itself? Your body started as ONE CELL. ONE. And that cell divided itself into a brain that can think about its own existence and eyes that can look at stars and hands that can hold somebody else’s hands and a heart that runs on electricity without you even asking it to? The iron in our blood was made inside a star?? We are walking around on a wet rock covered in bioluminescent oceans and singing whales and laughing rats and birds holding lifelong grudges and flowers exploding out of fire and somehow we’re supposed to act like this is a normal place to live? We’re supposed to act like this is all just a random, accidental sequence of events?

Joe Rogan and Andrew Huberman look up how many Americans die from medical error each year, and the answer floors them both. ROGAN: “Okay, so medical error is responsible for 251,000 deaths a year.” HUBERMAN: “Whoa, that’s crazy.” ROGAN: “Do you understand how insane that is? Imagine if that was Pop-Tarts.” That number comes from a 2016 Johns Hopkins study published in the BMJ. It estimated medical errors kill 251,454 Americans a year, which makes them the third leading cause of death, behind only heart disease and cancer. And it gets worse. A 2023 Johns Hopkins and Harvard study found that misdiagnosis alone kills an estimated 371,000 Americans a year and leaves another 424,000 permanently disabled. If an airline killed that many people, nobody would ever board a plane again.

On 9/11 I was running late for my train to head into Midtown Manhattan when my sister called me and we watched the television in horror as the second plane hit. As we reflect on the 25th anniversary of September 11th I keep thinking about the bravery of those aboard Flight 93. Led by brave individuals Todd Beamer, Mark Bingham, Tom Burnett, and Jeremy Glick, the group rushed the cockpit to fight the hijackers and forced the plane to crash in a Pennsylvania field to protect the U.S. Capitol. Todd Beamer gave the famous battle cry, "Let's roll". In the face of imminent death they were the bravest kind of Americans. Today, America faces more threats than ever, and we can't let our nation's national security slip for one second. Head on a swivel. 🇺🇲 #September11

What a fantastic video! I never saw this one before. 1960 Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra singing each other’s songs. Such a rare and iconic moment in music history.❤️
