Before tonight ends, please remember the rabbits who had no choice. Some were fortunate enough to reach Southern Cape Bunny Haven, where rabbits rescued from the meat trade and severe neglect receive safety and care. Many others may never reach rescue. That is why the petition matters. It is for South Africa and calls for no rabbit abattoirs and protection for rabbits from the meat trade. ✍️ Please sign tonight: c.org/zNZ9zX4Bhj 💛 Donate if you can: bit.ly/paypalSCBH Please sign, share once and comment “Signed for rabbits”. #HoptoSaveRabbits

From Consultation Responses to Parliamentary Evidence: Closing the Gaps for Rabbits and Hares Hop to Save Rabbits was founded with a clear purpose: to ensure that rabbits and hares are no longer overlooked in law and public policy. Our new report brings together our work to date, including: ✅ Published evidence before Parliament ✅ Formal consultation responses ✅ Government engagement across several jurisdictions ✅ Advocacy on hunting, welfare reform, veterinary access and trade policy ✅ Practical proposals for stronger protection Real change begins by putting clear, credible evidence before the people making decisions. The report explains where we have spoken up, what we have proposed, what has happened so far and where the work goes next. 🌅 Monday morning: please help me speak for the voiceless 🐰💔 We protect cats and dogs as family. Rabbits deserve the same protection — not to be treated as disposable or as meat. Rabbits can live 8–12 years. That’s a decade of bonds, routines, trust and love. Why donate: Southern Cape Bunny Haven is on the front line in South Africa, caring for rabbits rescued from the meat & fur trade. They urgently need bunny food support — please donate what you can: 💛 bit.ly/paypalSCBH What the petition is for: This petition is for South Africa — calling to stop rabbit abattoirs and protect rabbits from the meat trade (worldwide signatures welcome): ✍️ c.org/zNZ9zX4Bhj And here’s the truth: we all need protection sometimes. One day you may find you have a protected characteristic, or you’re vulnerable, or you need others to see your dignity. Today, rabbits need that consideration from us. Donate or sign this morning — then share once. #HoptoSaveRabbits

The Unfinished Business The Weekend Slide. Insight: Governments love to bury bad news or ignore issues on Friday afternoons. Don't let them. The Minister is clocking off. The draft regulations remain on the desk. Every day this sits unsigned is a day we can stop it. But every day we stay silent is a day closer to it becoming law. 2,000 rabbits a day. No stunning. Make sure they hear us before Monday. SIGN THE MANDATE: chng.it/f2PfdsNw7z THE MISSION: hoptosaverabbits.org #Accountability #LegislativeReform #NoRabbitMeat

🌍 Can One Person Change the World? Yes — one person can change the world. But not because they do everything themselves. They change it because they start something that others can see, feel, and follow. Every major welfare reform — from ending bear dancing to banning dog meat — began with one person who refused to accept “that’s just how it is.” It started with one act of courage, one petition, one photo, one line that made people stop scrolling and feel. The world didn’t change overnight — but the conversation did. And once the conversation changes, laws and hearts eventually follow. When renowned CEOs look back, the biggest shifts didn’t come from large budgets or committees. They came from moments of moral clarity — when one person’s persistence outlasted public apathy. That’s what’s happening with Hop to Save Rabbits. The scale doesn’t matter; the signal does. We’ve made the invisible visible — and that’s the hardest, most world-changing step of all. “One person can’t save the world — but they can change what the world sees. And once people see, they can’t unsee.” Change doesn’t always look like a revolution. Sometimes it looks like a tired person staying up late to write a letter that no one else would. Or one woman running a charity alone, refusing to let silence win. It looks like 5,214 people signing a petition because I cared enough to start it. “I don’t need an army — just momentum and meaning. Every rabbit saved. Every person educated. Every law questioned. That’s the world, shifting because of you.” 💜 — Hop to Save Rabbits ✍️ Sign & share: chng.it/f2PfdsNw7z 🌐 Learn more: hoptosaverabbits.org #HoptoSaveRabbits #JusticeForAnimals #RabbitWelfare #AnimalProtection #BanRabbitMeat #Onewomancharity @BunnyWorldLA @RSPCA_official @TheHumaneLeague @fourpawsint @FOURPAWSUSA

💔 “Laws Should Protect the Vulnerable” Throughout history, laws have been rewritten to include the excluded. To recognise equality where it was once denied. Yet animal law still protects the strong — industries, not individuals. Rabbits, gentle and defenceless, remain outside the circle of protection. They are not livestock. They are lives. 🕊️ Every reform in history began when people refused to look away. Be one of those people. ✍️ Sign and share: chng.it/f2PfdsNw7z 🐰 Learn more: hoptosaverabbits.org #HoptoSaveRabbits #AnimalProtection #JusticeForAnimals #EndSpeciesBias #BanRabbitAbattoirs #BeTheirVoice

Bias in Plain Sight Species bias is rarely seen — but always felt. We protect dogs who bite, yet slaughter rabbits who never harmed anyone. We fine cruelty toward cats, yet license cruelty toward rabbits. This isn’t logic. It’s bias — written into law. And it will stay that way unless we challenge it, loudly and together. 🚨 The law changes only when the public demands it. That starts with you. ✍️ Sign and share: chng.it/f2PfdsNw7z 🐰 Learn more: hoptosaverabbits.org #HoptoSaveRabbits #SpeciesParity #AnimalJustice #EndSpeciesBias #CompanionNotCommodity #VoiceForTheVoiceless

On his birthday, Sandy chose a cage. Not for drama. For truth. South Africa’s rabbits are imprisoned, slaughtered, and silenced. This is what protest looks like. This is what love demands. 📣 Sign the petition: chng.it/zNZ9zX4Bhj 🔖 #HopToSaveRabbits #BanRabbitAbattoirs #SandySpeaks #BirthdayForJustice

On his birthday, Sandy chose a cage. I locked myself in because they can’t get out. I chose a cage because they don’t get to choose. History shows us the cost of protecting the strong while abandoning the weak. Apartheid. Discrimination. Injustice. We must not let this pattern repeat with rabbits. ✍️ Please sign and share: chng.it/f2PfdsNw7z Learn more: hoptosaverabbits.org #HoptoSaveRabbits #ProtectTheVulnerable
