I noticed how Angry Joe’s fans try to clapback through dismissals or ridicule.
But somehow managed to completely avoid responding to the point I made.
Here’s another food for thought AJ fans, and I won’t resort to insults:
If it is “unrealistic” for women to look like women because they are “at war” - then how is it that women, looked like women again years INTO the still raging war, 14-15 years after it started?
Of course, I’ll also discount the fact that Locusts are not aliens.
It is funny to me how Angry Joe spent almost and hour gaslighting people who, according to him “are upset over female gears”, because really good female gears characters existed in past games.
Yes, and they looked like this Joe. Funny how he completely glossed that over in his review and refused to show what Anya and Sam looked like for even a second, despite throwing their name around to “own the chuds”.
Joe knows things changed, but he’s not allowing himself to acknowledge it.
Btw Sam and Baird bickering constantly is so wholesome.

Alright, I did another. Obviously a super quick and messy sketch. I prefer my messier sketch to my colored one, but whatever. I’m just trying to figure out what I hate.
1. I think the OG color scheme is great, so that’s not what my critique is about… it’s mostly of the body and face.
2. Once again, it’s easy to see that the torso of “Aphrodite” is a male torso with breasts bolted onto it. The shoulders are extremely wide as well. I find this weird pattern with these types of designs where one breast looks like a normal boob and the other looks like a deflated beach ball.
3. The face structure is also extremely masculine, and when I was mapping out the location of the features, I was getting super confused. I hate the stupid nose they always have, the structure of the eyes is also the more square and masculine shape, and I don’t understand how plump lips can look so masculine, but they do. That is the face of a man who has had feminizing facial surgery.
4. I like the hair a lot in the OG.
5. I hate the pose. This is the pose I would imagine Athena in, not Aphrodite. But even just shifting one leg slightly and moving the head forward helped a little.

When I was still a growing account, sometimes my work would get shared by @OOCWesternR34; an account posting funny "out-of-context western porn" crops. I realized I hadn't seen one of his posts on my timeline in years, so I looked up the account... he's gone.
I know we're just adult art accounts sharing drawings and dumb memes, but there's a real person behind every screen and you never know when someone might be suffering. Rest in peace, man. I hope you're in a better place now.

Everyone is still hung up on the sex appeal but you know what, I'm gonna be the one to say it.
Hades is not and was never the fantastic experience people make it out to be.
As a rougelite it's extremely meh. None of the item and ability combos feel particularly amazing and it seems intentionally designed to prevent you from having that zero to hero experience that rougelites are often known for.
This is probably why no one ever talks about the gameplay but you notice they never talk about the story either? It's cause the story makes literally 0 sense.
Zagreus can't leave hell. If he does he dies shortly after and gets tossed back into it. This is to be apart of the rougelite mechanic to give him a lore reason to keep fighting his way out of hell and get drip fed information from each run.
Problem, everyone knows he's going to die and get sent back so why is anyone trying to stop him from leaving? The only explanation you're ever really given is "my dad's kind of an asshole."
Their core mechanic that is tied into the story directly breaks any reason for the gameplay itself to exist.
Hades is popular because the art looked really unique and the characters are clearly made for lesbians who like Yaoi, but that's it. It's a bad story on an average game that I'd argue has bad gameplay progression for it's genre.

Story time!
By the time I was in 5th grade, I had grown my hair to be very long, all the way to my hips. It was my mom that made me grow my hair that long. Up until that time, I never really cared about my hair or my looks so I never gave it much thought. None of my friends ever commented about it in any way.
Then I got to middle school. We all hit puberty. Suddenly, my friends were telling me that my hair was too long and that I would look better with shorter hair. I distinctly remember that one of the girls who would tell me this had long hair herself, mine just happened to be longer.
One day in 7th grade, as I was walking out of the school cafeteria after lunch, a girl tapped me on my shoulder and asked “is that your hair?” as she pointed towards the floor. I was confused and didn’t know what she meant until I looked down and saw a lock of hair of about 3-4 inches just lying there. I asked her, “Whose hair is that?” and she said, “Yours.” I looked at my hair that was in a braid, and sure enough, a chunk was cut and missing.
I was shocked until I heard a laugh behind me. It was one of my “friends”, she was laughing out loud with a pair of scissors in her hand. She thought it was hilarious. Of course, I was very hurt. The ends of my hair were uneven for months (I didn’t want to cut it so I just waited until it grew back).
Anyways, girls commenting about how much better I’d look with shorter hair continued throughout my entire adolescence. Female intrasexual competition is 100% real, it starts out very young, and it is vicious. A lot of times women don’t even realize that they’re doing it. The jealousy and desire to bring a woman down in order to bring themselves up comes naturally for many.
Any woman that isn’t being dishonest and that grew up with women will confirm that. You don’t really need a study to know this, but in this case this study is based on reality.
