While gregs count support did feel absolete after kodya, he still held on for 3 seasons which i dont think is a feat most ids have. Also i highly disagree with qoh don getting better, as she never really did and should be getting replaced in 4 days by noir manager

REP was never considered good, she was barely a sidegrade to W corp Ryoshu who was a contender for the strongest ID for seasons 2 and 3, and when reap released in s4 neither saw much use, and i while her getting buffed by a potential red eyes U5 would be cool i doubt it

Meanwhile walpurgis and other such special occasion ids arent always strong, by looking at Red Eyes Ryoshu, QoH Don and Hornet Meursault you can see that while their banner partners ended up being strong, they didn’t.

I’d argue that Edgar Gregor was also pretty good, and was a core in sinking until last season. And while middle don was pretty ass at release she is an unremovable part of a current top 3 team strength-wise . So there isn’t really a rule that forces early canto IDs to be bad
