I've been falsely banned from ARC Raiders for aimbotting. I've dedicated my life to this game since release, streaming thousands of hours of my gameplay publicly.
I'm willing to FLY OUT to Embark HQ and play in front of the developers to prove I'm 100% legitimate.
My reputation and career are being destroyed, and I've even received death threats over this ban.
@ARCRaiders @EmbarkStudios I'm begging you to properly review my case. I have nothing to hide. I just want the chance to prove my innocence.
If DMZ ends up being good and my audience loves it, I don’t know how much I’ll bother with ARC Raiders for a while.
I’ll always come back to ARC Raiders for updates BUT…
The whole PvE vs PvP lobby thing and aggression based matchmaking sort of killed my excitement for the game.
Embark is already a small studio that has a hard time getting content out as fast as people want.
They aren’t going to be able to make a PvE experience that is MEANINGFUL for a long time. I see the potential but I worry for the execution.
Now they are trying to please two completely separate audiences, offering two different modes, and the game feels like it’s losing its identity (or maybe gaining a new one).
In DMZ instead of seperating PvPers and PvE players, aggressive players will be punished by the bounty system.
PvE guys will have opportunities to take out known killers and earn money and rewards from it.
Thats the type of extraction shooter I want to play.
Everyone is together, with systems of checks and balances for all playstyles.
I’m worried ARC Raiders is going to lose itself along the way.

Played one evening of the PvE test.
Short version: I dont see the point.
What I experienced:
▶️ ARC are no threat. Most of the time everyone just blasts whatever spawns.
▶️ Some Quests and Trials are quite annoying to do because of that.
▶️ Every round is a race to the good spots. Everything is picked clean after a few minutes. (dont experience this as much in PvPvE)
▶️ People have an bad attitude, because they cant be punished for it
▶️ "PvE ratting": people wait for you to open or kill something and grab it from you.
▶️ I saw griefing attempts with Bull Rush and Lure Grenades quite often.
▶️ I didnt feel the reduced loot at all. (even tho Embark stated they did)
You just trade the tension of potential PvP for the tension of getting the wrong or far spawn and missing the good spots.
In my opinion a PvE mode only makes sense with a completely separate character, inventory and progression.
Fewer players per map, but more and much harder ARC. Embark said in the dev Q&A that server performance and missing tech limit that for now.
Embark asked for feedback, so here is mine.
Whats yours, Raiders?
A PvE-only mode will kill everything that makes ARC Raiders special. The entire point of the game is the risk of running into real players, the unpredictable fights, and the fear of losing your gear. Remove that tension and you're left with a repetitive looting simulator with zero stakes. The mode won't have any longevity, and it'll completely ruin what makes ARC Raiders unique.

My partner in crime Topside: @eeemsie__ 💜
Sometimes you need to take a friend with you out there - because lord knows she’s saved my life a few too many times!
From pesky ARC and greedy raiders - she’s taken them all on!
Here’s some snaps from our first adventure together in Pendola Pass ❄️
She also has the coolest outfits imo too… 💁🏼♀️

People link me the ARC Raiders chart as the reason why the game needs a PVE-toggle. But this bandaid ignores the fundamental issue the game has.
For someone playing 5 hours a week it'll be totally fine, for a while at least. But if you put in many hours you hit a wall. You killed the queen 50+ times. At some point you ask yourself, why?
There is an issue with incentives in the game since release, there aren't any. You kill machines to craft weapons to kill the same machines to craft weapons to kill the same machines again.
Same for PVP which is pointless after a while, it doesn't have an endgame reward, no last man standing or BR, no incentive to engage beyond the short term entertainment.
There is so much they can do with this rich sandbox they crafted. Yet there are no incentives to interact with any of it. Besides killing the couple of big bots over and over again for the hell of it, it doesn't go much further. But it could be so much more.
And this is the reason why most people left. It's not amount of content, not PVE/PVP, it's the lack of incentives to stay.
Until this is seriously addressed, a PVE toggle might just be quick fix that'll further amplify the problem for both PVP, which now have even less incentive since you cen get everything fast in PVE-only, and for PVE which reaches a dead end even faster without the PVP threat.
My thoughts on this upload later today
From October 13 to October 20, ARC Raiders will be beta-testing a PvE matchmaking toggle. Come try it out, and let us know what you think! Your feedback will help us determine if it works, and what the future of this feature could look like.
