The revolution will be livestreamed. And the livestream will be clipped. And the clip will be decontextualized. And the decontextualized clip will be placed in a split screen next to a clip of something else entirely. And the split screen will be captioned by someone with a strong interest in what conclusion you draw. And the caption will travel further than the original. And by the time the original context catches up, the conclusion is already formed in ten million minds. And the ten million minds will defend the conclusion against the context, because they already organized their feelings around it, and feelings, once organized, do not enjoy being reorganized. The revolution will be livestreamed. This is a problem. Not because livestreaming is bad. Because the infrastructure the livestream travels through was not built to help you understand revolutions. It was built to keep you watching. Those are not the same thing. They have never been the same thing.
