The most important question about Amendment 3 isn’t “Will my taxes go down?”
It’s “Who will control my community?”
Strip local governments of their primary revenue source and you don’t shrink government…you centralize it.
Starved local governments become dependent on the state.
That’s the conversation Florida needs to have.

I get why people eventually get into bird watching. A beautiful little humming bird would never run up the middle 3 straight times and then punt

I’m thrilled to have been named @JAXChamber’s chair-elect. We’ve got a strong organization that is engaged with businesses across the region, and I look forward to continued growth in the years ahead.

One of social media’s downsides is its reward of performative over thoughtful substance. This plays out in local politics when good people are pulled from focus on long-term good for the chase of a quick hit. True leadership isn’t waylaid, it keeps the long-term goal in focus.
My debut novel, “Last Time I’ll Ask,” is now available on Amazon: a.co/d/gaqGzSZ. Order yours today.
I’m excited to join Pinnacle Financial Partners as it continues to expand its Jacksonville team. jaxdailyrecord.com/news/2025…

In honor of Sunday @THEPLAYERS, a snippet from my upcoming novel… The island green earns a mention on p. 32 of “Last Time I’ll Ask.”
Coming to a bookstore near you this summer.
It was a beautiful day for a @Habitat_org build with @wabiJax. Kudos to our @FirstHorizonBnk team members who showed up to kick off the Presidents Day weekend.
For the love of all that is good and holy, please… Just. Stop. Texting. #ElectionDay

Column: Floridians have spoken very clearly about what they think of plans for state parks. Now the question is whether the governor — and the state agency with "environmental protection" in its name — will actually listen.

The First Horizon Foundation was honored to be one of the funders of Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park. The @duPontFund, @CityofJax, @JTAFLA, and so many other community partners were key to bringing this to life. What a great boost for Jacksonville!
We are beyond excited for the opening of our newest park today🌳 Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing Park at 120 Lee Street in LaVilla features a stage overlooking a lifted lawn, gardens, sculptures, educational and historic markers, beautiful landscaping, and access to the Emerald Trail.

Proud to stand with other members of the Jacksonville Civic Council in support of the stadium deal and the community benefits agreement. Both demonstrate a strong commitment to Jacksonville by the @Jaguars, and I’m hopeful the City Council will support. jaxciviccouncil.com/wp-conte…
As part of @FirstHorizonBnk’s Grants for Good, the First Horizon Foundation awarded 160 $10k grants across our footprint. In Jacksonville, two orgs, @HopeHaven_Jax and @Playersbythesea received grants. We’re thrilled to support their work.
Congrats, @JJHarding18. Look forward to seeing you on the field for the Tigers.
