Sometimes a whole is more than the sum of its parts. Oftentimes, it isn't. Circulatory fidelity is a lens with a framework that allows you to observe, measure, and classify this phenomenon broadly.

If you build for an institution your work will be corrupted by people within the institution. You must build for God.
how can i write code for God? where is the Catholic church organization that puts all of us together so that we can build the best technology in the world for the glory of God and His church?

Just started Ellul’s the Presence of the Kingdom In the same way I was terrified by how right Ellul was be explaining the rise of technique in the technological society, the same terror the unabomber experienced, Ellul’s “diagnosis of the solution that is not a solution” gave me great joy and peace It’s very simple It’s the presence of the kingdom of God Bearing witness to that, no technique associated with it The spiritual reality of our souls and how we can be in the world, actually required to be in the world but not of it All technique is of the world Without Christ, like the secular Unabomber got caught in, the churning wheel of samsara and its technique is pure entropy It is an eschatological work particularly when paired with the technological society, dealing with the end of time which Jesus said a lot about But unlike current popular delusions and technique based eschatology so popular with the rationalists and their AI safety techniques, along with the evangelicals and their techniques to use Israel as the method to bring about their interpretations of what the book of revelation says He doesn’t provide a technique That would defeat the entire purpose This is why it’s so beautiful How can we know Gods will? To think that one knows Gods will is a giant wall of hubris in between God and his will That’s being of the world, acting based off egoic interpretations of what’s god will is This is what the Unabomber could not grok because of his secularism All we need to “do” and its not really a doing, more just a recognition, is too follow the new covenant: 1. Love god with all our hearts and minds 2. Love thy neighbor like thyself That’s basically it The revolutionary act is just love and always has been, that’s the way to contend with the technological acceleration now too hard to ignore

This is a critical reflection on the posture most mathematicians (and scientists) have adopted. AI is revealing nearly universal stagnation of intellect and creativity in academia. Now they'll have to adapt or sacrifice all relevance.
Those who think mathematicians are ‘cooked’ are not thinking critically about what mathematicians do, and what the frontier AI labs are trying to do. So funny that the desperation to show AGI will, in the end, show why current AI can never exhibit AGI.

That the Christian faith is compatible with the highest levels of thought is under explored. That Christianity beat philosophy on its own terms is under explored. But the most important messages of Christ are simple, and salvation is simple in Christ.

I think there's something to this. 🤔
a moment of “needing distraction” is the same as something wanting/needing attention” perhaps even the same thing

💯 The idea that there is a North Star, or that celestial navigation could work, or that one can navigate, or that maps can be accurate, or that there can be maps... Disintegration through erosion.
Remember when they took the concept of a North Star out of public school and taught people to think for themselves and then launched them out into the sea at night and everyone just came back to land bc lol wtf. And now there's almost no seafaring. Incidentally the ancients thought the land was animal and we all think we're animals now how weird

The formal method is indispensable for testing and refining hypotheses but comparatively silent on how we invent the hypotheses themselves. Pierce called that first step abductive reasoning. It's less structured than deduction and induction and mostly unappreciated.

🚨 Scott Bessent just pointed toward a Bretton Woods 2.0 and is telling people to get ready for it. He said: “The banking system created after WWII unleashed global prosperity. Why not recreate it now?” He’s openly talking about “rewiring the banking and financial system.” The Iran-US “war” isn’t about nukes or oil… It’s the final engineered crash to kill the old dollar system and install a brand-new global financial order. Every past crash (1929, 2008, COVID) was deliberately triggered by central banks + the IMF. They’re doing it again. Wake up. The people designing this are openly laying out plans for a new financial architecture. As The Great Taking illustrates, these kinds of resets often shift ownership. He also warned: “Build your safety zone and secure direct ownership now, don’t wait to find out where you fit in their new system.”

There’s been a lot of speculation about where we stand on open-weights models. We’ve outlined our views in full here: anthropic.com/news/position-…

NEW: Biohacker Bryan Johnson reveals he has created a “newborn clone” of himself in a petri dish — will eventually be used to grow organs & repair his body.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Bryan Johnson’s blood was drawn, cells were extracted and cultured in a dish, and Yamanaka factors were applied to make them pluripotent. There is no complete human clone of Bryan Johnson. x.com/bryan_johnson/… pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16904174/

The KJV is superior for this purpose. Alignment with the old covenant is a regression.
“Judd Rosenblatt is hiring AI engineers versed in Jewish texts, on the thesis that a tradition that survived millennia of adverse selection may know something about surviving recursive self-improvement…the Talmud's layered, self-referential reinterpretation preserves core values across civilizational resets, exactly what you want in an AI that could edit its values away.” ae.studio/join-us

Prohibition was calculated to eliminate this "threat". Thankfully the spirits prevailed.
Every small town needs a pub to keep the leaders in check. As the seedbeds of the revolution, the bars and ale houses have truly been instrumental in the birth of our nation and checks on tyranny.

I recently had the pleasure of joining @StewartalsopIII on Crazy Wisdom again, this time to discuss more explicitly my project of circulatory fidelity and some of the work I've been doing. It's always great talking with Stewart and I hope you'll take the time to listen.
