The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs said on Saturday it is following up on the killing of Jordanian Mohammad Al-Hashaisheh in an attack in his workplace in Chicago in the United States.
The Jordanian Embassy in Washington is following up with US authorities on the investigation into the incident, said Fuad Majali, the ministry's spokesperson.
He said the Embassy is in contact with the family of the deceased, and has offered assistance needed for his burial in the United States, upon the family's wishes.
Majali expressed his heart-felt condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased. (Petra)
أعلنت وزارة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين أنّها من خلال مديرية العمليات تتابع حادثة مقتل المواطن الأردني المرحوم محمد الحشايشة في مدينة شيكاغو في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، إثر اعتداء تعرّض له أثناء وجوده في مكان عمله.
وقال الناطق الرسمي باسم الوزارة السفير فؤاد المجالي إنّ السفارة الأردنية في واشنطن تتابع مع السلطات الأمريكية التحقيقات المُتعلِّقة بالاعتداء، مُوضِّحًا أنّ السفارة على تواصل مستمر مع ذوي المرحوم، وأنّها قدّمت التسهيلات اللازمة لدفن جثمانه في الولايات المتحدة، بناءً على رغبة ذويه، كما قامت بتقديم واجب العزاء.
وأعرب المجالي عن أصدق التعازي والمواساة إلى أسرة الفقيد، سائلًا المولى عزّ وجلّ أن يتغمّده بواسع رحمته، وأن يلهم ذويه جميل الصبر وحسن العزاء.

التقى نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين أيمن الصفدي @AymanHsafadi على هامش اجتماعات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك اليوم وزير خارجية الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية عباس عراقجي.
وبحث الصفدي وعراقجي خلال اللقاء الجهود المبذولة لإنهاء التصعيد الخطير الذي تشهده المنطقة، والتوصل إلى اتفاق لوقف مستدام لإطلاق النار بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، وصولًا إلى حل شامل للأزمة.
وشدّد الصفدي على أهمية تكاتف الجهود لاستعادة التهدئة وتحقيق الأمن والاستقرار الدائمين، على الأسس التي تضمن أمن جميع دول المنطقة واستقرارها، واحترام القانون الدولي ومبادىء حسن الجوار، وعدم التدخل في الشؤون الداخلية للدول.
كما أكّد الصفدي على ضرورة احترام حرية الملاحة في مضيق هرمز وفق اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار للعام ١٩٨٢.
وجدّد الصفدي إدانة الاعتداءات الإيرانية على الأردن ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، وأكّد على ضرورة وقفها. وشدّد الصفدي على أنّ الأردن سيستمر في اتخاذ كل الخطوات اللازمة والمتاحة لمواجهة هذه الاعتداءات وحماية أراضيه وسيادته وسلامة مواطنيه.
وأكّد الصفدي أهمية اعتماد الحوار والدبلوماسية سبيلاً لمعالجة كل أسباب التوتر والتصعيد على مدى السنوات السابقة، وتكريس الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
