Very nice, and about time!

Imagine studying CS right now and having your syllabus change literally every week because a faster or more efficient algo is being discovered faster than your Prof can explain how it works...

We are one! Honestly it's been great fun so far and we wouldn't have gotten here without the community - your feedback has contributed to the development of several unique features.
Teams like marketing and QC also made it so that we had all the support needed. It truly takes a village to raise a child, and we're just getting started! Give us a go, and let me know how we can improve the experience for you!

Now is a better time than ever before to be a generalist.
Ditch mastering one niche and start asking your agents to make no mistakes, but know enough to know when they're making a mistake.

It does seem like pushing back against management as software devs in the age of AI is a lost art.
I have never had a job or a project that wasn't in the shape of "what corners can we cut so we can ship this last week? Is that a prototype, welcome to production..."
It was my job to push back and set pace and I don't see how that is not the case still today
Just because we can move faster, just because it's easier to write code than ever before, just because it's just a prompt away, doesn't always mean we should.
This is especially prevalent in crypto, especially after talking to many folks in the space. Moving faster, shipping new things you *think* will help, isn't actually going to help move the needle if it doesn't even attract net new users.
And yes, the act of writing code and of implementing something may be solved. But taste, design, maintainability, marketing are things that still aren't solved by AI, and which still require a ton of effort in order for a product to do well.
My advice for the leaders in the space: the number of stupid ideas one can have will always outpace the resources it takes to build them, even with AI. Your "innovative" product/feature is also hard-capped on the intelligence of your users. Now, more than ever, does taste and a clear understanding of the space matter - so focus on that. Talk to your users, talk to your haters, talk to people outside of the space, learn what ticks, not just what you think is cool.
I am done with this shit. It is over. The state of engineering right now is horrible. It has been half a month since I started a new role at a big company. Nobody knows anything here. The specs, code, tests, PRDs, tickets, resolution of those tickets, reports, etc., everything is made by Claude Code. Nobody on my team likes this. They are being forced to ship as much as they can. I have heard multiple times from higher management that pushing code is not a bottleneck, so why are we slow? People are working 12 to 13 hours a day just to press enter. Nobody is reading anything. Humans in corporate are doing nothing on their own. Everyone, literally everyone, from an L1 to an L7 engineer here is doing the same thing. Talk to Claude. There is no sense of victory. Nobody is resolving bugs. In reality, nobody is thinking anymore. Everything is done by LLMs. It is so soul-sucking. I would not mind it, to be honest, if we were at least given the time to check out the code and see what is going where. But no, the goal is to just ship. No matter what happens.
