@grok if CO2 levels are at 2500+ what does that do to your cognitive ability?
To be happy you must eliminate 1 fear and 1 memory permanently.
1. The fear of a bad future
2. The memory of a bad past
Everyone remembers the $6 uber ride.
you got out of the car feeling like you robbed somebody. the driver was happy too. that was the growth era, investor money eating the real cost so the product felt impossible to say no to.
then the IPO. same ride went to $40. surge took it to $65. and somehow the driver made less on it.
that exact curve is coming for AI and you can already feel the front edge. start of this year one $200 claude max sub ran basically nonstop for a week before you hit a limit. now you can hit the same wall in 24 hours doing similar work. the pullback already started.
anthropic looks like a Q4 IPO to me. openai early 2027. the day there's a ticker and quarterly earnings to defend, a $200 subscription that hands you close to $8,000 of API tokens stops existing. the offer will still be strong. great models, great tools, a real ecosystem. but it gets priced to pull more out of you for the same value, every quarter, forever.
which is the whole reason i'm going hard on a local AI setup right now. this storyline doesn't stop at the IPO. it gets worse, strap in everybody.
A resourceful scammer can do more then ever to get a loved one to desperately do something to “save” you.

Good lord we gotta stop my bank account cant no more
Astra 6 numbers are everywhere today so I ran it against my own task corpus instead of reading the boards.
The most useful thing I learned was about my own bench. My quality check returned PASS on 244 out of 244 votes across every frontier model I have ever run through it, and my first read was that it had gone loose. It has not. I degraded one finding in eight and both judges flipped it to FAIL, unanimously. Then I rewrote 258 bytes while leaving the explanation intact and it passed again. So the check is a poor ranker and a very good regression detector, and I had been asking one number to do both jobs.
The Astra result itself is a tie. 44 of 50 tasks graded, paired against 5.6 Sol on the same tasks and the same harness. My harness silo has Astra ahead 47.6% to 36.9%, my ads silo has it behind 4.2% to 12.5%, and neither margin is significant.
That ladder was one task, one check, one answer, so the direction holds and the threshold does not travel yet. Partial, 44 of 50. Rest when it finishes.
Here is a pro tip for competitor awareness. Most teams have no idea how their market reads inside an AI chat, and it takes five minutes to find out.
Open a fresh AI chat with zero memory. No context, no history, no idea who you are. Sometimes I play a leader at a competitor trying to gather intel and talk strategy. Sometimes I play the ideal customer trying to find a tool. I never mention the brand I represent. Ever. Then I ask it to compare every competitor in the category by name, and I stay as neutral as I can with the system. I am trying to be educated, not flattered.
I run this constantly for a finance company whose content I ghostwrite. One of the deepest knowledge fields you can write in. Organic traffic there has multiplied by 10x in 2 months. Not a typo. My first day on the account the site got 61 Google clicks. That same date four months later it got 622. A sustained 10x. The graph is attached because every SEO person knows the growth number can flatter you but the shape cannot. Look at the date it turns and how it holds.
And no matter which mask I wore, their name kept coming up. So I finally asked the model straight. Are you surfacing them because of how I am searching, or because of what they are actually doing? From a session with zero memory of me, its exact words.
"They're the best content operation in the category and it isn't close."
Now the honest part. This is ghostwriting, not magic. The expert I write for spent years earning their understanding of the game, and every piece ships under their eyes and their credibility. Some drafts get approved straight through. Some come back with a thousand words fixed. This content would not be close to this good without that final pass sitting on top of it.
One writer and one expert. Nobody else in the company touches content. That is the entire operation behind the best content in the category.
Run the test on your own market tonight. Fresh chat, zero memory, customer mask. Whose name keeps coming up, yours or a competitor's?
Want more details on how to create a system like this? J ust ask.
Before you start vibe coding you think this is the “peak” level setup. Then after vibe coding for 12+ month you realize the wall of text terminal is the peak setup.
An Important Definition - AI Harness
What an agent reads at startup AND everything around the model that shapes behavior, including machinery that acts mid-session.
Here is a free upgrade for the AI setup you are running right now, and it works on the models you already pay for. One link and an afternoon, and your system stops guessing which model should be doing what.
Everyone on my timeline is arguing about whether Fable 5 or GPT 5.6 is the subscription actually worth keeping, and the same feed cannot decide if Opus 5 is any good and cannot work out what Sonnet is even for. I pay for all of it. I run all of it on real work every week and I bench it on that work instead of on somebody else's leaderboard. The winner people are arguing about does not exist.
They win different jobs, and the jobs are not close.
Fable 5 takes the judgment calls, the design direction, the copy, and anything that has to hold a pile of context at once. GPT 5.6 takes the heavy mechanical builds and the long unattended runs. Opus 5 is the one I actually sit and code with most days, and it does the reading, the drafting and the verification underneath everything else. It also scores higher than GPT 5.6 on the public automation benchmark and I still have not handed it that work, because my own runs have not settled it. Sonnet, the one nobody can place, beat my design model blind on component sized work and beat my code model on the scripts my setups run on. That is what it is for over here.
My own bench got one wrong too. A code round came back with a challenger on top of GPT 5.6, and when I looked at how it ran, my model had been answering at a lower effort setting than the challenger and one task had been refused outright. I threw the number out and queued the rerun at equal settings. Even your own bench lies to you until you run it again clean.
So go run your own, except you do not have to build any of it. Copy one link, hand it to your agent, and it reads your setup first, then writes the benchmark and the prompts around the work you actually do, runs whatever you can already reach, and tells you exactly what your own results are. Customized to your system, not mine. The link is the first reply.
I put Qwen 3.8 against Qwen 3.6, the model already sitting in my cheap local slot, and 3.8 won every class I judged, including the one I built to catch it flattering itself. I kept 3.6 anyway, because 3.8 ran roughly 5.9 times slower per token and burned roughly 3.2 times the tokens to say the same thing, for a quality edge that came in under a point. Better and unusable are allowed to be the same model.
My work is a lot of medium stakes output in volume, so throughput keeps winning here. Yours could flip it. If your day is a few short high stakes bursts, the slow expensive one probably deserves the job, and the same numbers that vetoed it for me are the argument for it.
So if you had to cancel one tomorrow, Fable 5 or GPT 5.6, which one goes?

Hand that link to your agent and tell it to go. It reads your setup first, then builds the benchmark around your own work and reports back.
