Why did I chose to be a VTuber? The real answer starts years before I ever streamed. I'd been fascinated by 3D VTuber tech long before I had any plans to go live. On a whim back then, I built a model based on a Light Elf character from a story and world building I spent much of my life on. Then she sat there, finished, doing nothing. I had no intention of streaming with her at all. Later came one of the hardest years of my life. Caregiving of a parent, loss, illness, and a job that fell apart around me, all close together. I went from having no time for myself to having far too much of it, and no passion left to fill it with. Games, manga, the hobbies I used to love, none of it felt like mine anymore. I'd faced depression before, but this time was different. An old friend reached out about a game we used to play together. There I found a community that was warmer than I expected. On another whim, I remembered the model gathering dust and decided to finally use her as I didn't think streaming would stick and it'd be fun to see it being used, even for a short time. I loved it right away, mostly because it gave me new people to meet and something to focus on besides my own head. I dug in and invested more of my time to improve both my model and stream. Over time, I started hearing the same thing back from my own viewers, that being here helped them get through their own hard days too. I've always wanted my life to mean something for other people. This turned out to be the way. It's still what keeps me going. Knowing I get to be a small light for someone else, especially if they're somewhere dark I recognize. Funny enough, my Vtuber is a Light Elf, the last of her kind, meant to carry light back into a world recovering from darkness. I didn't plan that parallel. It just found me.

Here it is! I couldn't be happier with how these turned out 🥹✨ One piece you may have caught a glimpse of before; the other was a complete surprise reveal tonight. Art by @/tsubaki_pbwfa, absolutely blown away by their work. #VTuber #AaizaArt
