Move over UX. Meet MXE: Machine Experience Engineering. AI agents need interfaces designed for how they actually reason and act — not just APIs wrapped in MCP. Don’t just prompt the agent. Engineer the experience it operates through.

Took a minute to write a few words about security & safety as someone who lived through it all at OpenAI. I hope my thoughts help someone out there.

Building the foundation of the AI economy.
Today, with over 100 industry partners, we introduced the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform, bringing together OpenShell and Sentry. Artificial intelligence is extraordinary technology that will advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity for generations to come. But its full promise can only be realized when people have confidence that AI is being built to be safe and deployed with wisdom and responsibility. This is bigger than a single product. It's the beginning of an open ecosystem to build the trust layer for safe agent systems. Together, we are building the foundation of the AI economy. Trust and innovation are not in conflict. Safety is how trust is earned. We must build not only the most capable AI, but the most trusted AI, so that this extraordinary technology can realize its enormous promise for the world. nvda.ws/4hcoq7m

Culture is not what an organization says it values. It is what people learn to expect. What happens when you speak up, disagree, make a mistake, or ask for help? A new essay on trust, psychological safety and the culture we build every day. medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…

Anyone tried chatgpt.com/maps yet? I’m curious: if ChatGPT can understand what you’re looking for, why would you still search for places the old way? Game changer or just another map? What’s your take?

The danger is not technology. It’s technology without accountability. Capability without oversight. Decision-making without transparency. #AI must be shaped by humanity, with humanity and for all humanity. medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…

"mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity"
People outside the AI labs should have a real say in how this technology develops, and a clear way to judge if it's happening safely. Standards should help prevent the concentration of power, including by making sure new companies and open-model companies can compete. They should also help countries and companies compare evidence and learn from failures. We think the US should lead this effort. Here is our proposal: openai.com/index/building-st…

Brilliant initiative @demishassabis @ShaneLegg Timely, much needed, and exactly the kind of interdisciplinary work the AGI moment demands. Looking forward to the conversations and ideas this collaboration will produce.
For 20+ years @ShaneLegg and I've discussed AGI’s potential impact on the economy, science & society. With the DeepMind Institute, we're expanding interdisciplinary research on key questions for the AI era. We hope it spurs the discussions needed to get the next steps right: deepmind.google/institute

The AI industry called to “pace the frontier.” A detailed, impartial look at what the debate is actually about: capability, character, control, and who sets the rules. No team jersey. medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…

AI didn't just make cyberattacks faster. It changed their economics. Lower attack costs. Greater scale. Faster adaptation The security question is no longer whether AI will make attacks more powerful, but whether defense can improve faster than attack. medium.com/@TheShadowObserve…
