The EFL has certainly dispelled any thoughts that any club would have on spying on opposition in future.
So Southampton have been kicked out of the playoff final - they can blame no one else but themselves, as it appears this ‘spying’ on their opponents hasn’t been a one off (from allegations in the statement) - certainly learned the hard way.
I’m glad all these former referees and linesmen who are now spouting their opinions about decisions made during games, were so perfect at their job that they never made any errors. ‘Footballs expectation’ what a load of 💩
Absolutely heartbreaking, the news of Scott Hastings untimely passing. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and wide circle of friends and associates. God Bless 🙏🏻
By the wording of the law the onfield referee came to the correct conclusion. I don’t blame him or VAR for their interpretations - it’s time for IFAB to remove any ambiguity surrounding hand ball - if the ball comes off the hand or arm no matter the circumstances - it’s handball
The commentators on the BBC snooker are awful. Mark Allen was ‘lucky’ when the shot didn’t split the reds as he would have liked but he still had one which was potable. Weren’t using ‘lucky’ when Hawkins was fluking shots.
Absolute codswallop
#MCIARS – 83'
The referee’s call of no red card was checked and confirmed by VAR – with the action from Gabriel deemed not to be excessively aggressive or violent.
Weather starting to get a little angry outside. Thunder and lightning ⚡️ and now the rain and hailstones are starting. Don’t you just love the Northern Ireland weather. It’s hosing down
They do say one Swallow doesn’t make a summer, but it certainly does the heart good to see them back for another season.
Damien or Coops as he was affectionately referred to was one of the best. Always willing and long time friend. Thoughts and prayers with his wife Ann, daughters, Gillian (Neil), Ashley and Marion (Ryan) and their families. God Bless 🙏🏻
Coleraine FC is saddened to learn of the passing of our former kitman Damien Cooper.
Fondly referred to as 'Coops', the stalwart was involved with the club for more than 20 years and was part of the backroom staff for the 2003 Irish Cup win.
Damien will be laid to rest at St Malachy’s Church in Coleraine this Friday at 1pm.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Damien's family and friends at this time.
All these accounts saying last man this, last man that. It’s Denying Of a Goal Scoring Opportunity (DOGSO) - while being ‘last man’ may be a factor, it isn’t in the laws of the game.
Lest We Forget the events on this date 68 years ago.
One cold and bitter Thursday in Munich, Germany,
Eight great football stalwarts conceded victory.
Eight men will never play again, who met destruction there,
The flowers of English football, the flowers of Manchester
A broken heart a broken dream,
A broken plane a broken team,
No words were said a silent vow,
We loved you then we love you now #BusbyBabes #Munich58 #MUFC
Is it any wonder referees and VAR get flak week in week out. Quite possibly should have been a penalty on Mbuemo, then they award one and reverse it on Cunha (correctly) then Fulham get a questionable one. That’s before we talk offside - just don’t go there

Butt and Scholes trying to keep themselves relevant. Maybe it’s time they took a back seat and kept their mouths shut.
Thoughts and prayers with the Patterson family this afternoon as they lay Bertie to rest. A special neighbour and friend. Coleraine FC has lost a loyal supporter. 🙏🏻
